Dealing with hard water stains in Shower

I need to somehow clean a fiberglass shower base that has a stain on it, from about 40 years of use. The water is very hard and has a lot of calcium in it. So what I'm trying to deal with here is calcium chloride mixed with dirt, and it's as hard as clam shells.

I've tried using steel wool, a wire brush, comet, pinesol, paint thinner. Nothing seems to make a dent in this. There's a "knobiness" to the surface that gives a non-slip surface, which of course makes a great place for the build-up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
