Thanks, but this is actually a different model. It's definitely not commercial. I linked to the manufacturer's (poor) description below. It looks better in person and I don't know what the square in the door in the picture is--I don't think a water dispenser is an option.

And along with definitely not being commercial, calling it "professional" is a bit of a stretch, too. The only place I saw that tag was on the badge on the front. Probably a trim package.

I can't comment on it's reliability, but, I do think it's really nice as well. It does have a nice retro feel to it. I currently have a 13 year old full size top freezer and am struggling with what to get for the remodel. I don't think I will be happy with SXS or bottom freezer, but really need counter depth or built in. For the cost of this frig, I wouldn't agonize as much over reliability. How bad could it be? Look at all the problems people have been having with frigs that are 5 to 6 times the price of this one. If you get at least 5 years out of it, for that price it would be a bargain. I'm starting to think the cheaper frig's last longer!!!!!

I do think the cheap ones last longer in that if they're too cheap to have an ice maker and water tank, there's that much less to bust.

But if it only lasts 5 years, what will I be able to find that I like that'll fit a 30" hole when everything made for kitchens is just growing and growing?

Fisher and Paykel makes 30" frig/freezer similar to what you're looking at. Less cu. ft, but same size. I guess that's always a concern as well. I wasn't trying to imply it would only last for 5 years. I guess my point was that based on the relative low cost, if it only did last 5 years, you wouldn't have felt that you spent an excess amount of money on something that wasn't worth it.

I always think there will be a market for smaller refrigerators. Just think of all the people living in apartments that can't fit anything big.

We did like the FP fridge and had it on the short list for a while but it requires 1 inch clearance on each side while the Frigidaire only requires 3/8" per side. It really does make a difference when you're wedging it between a wall and a window.

If we decide we really do need counter depth in that spot, though, the FP is a shoo-in. And if we go with our OTHER kitchen layout, we sort of liked the integrated 36" Thermador Freedom. Which has a similar capacity...but hides.

I really like the Freedom collection as well. Just don't like the price!! LOL!!!

Well, yeah, they are a tad pricey for a fridge. I'm one to pay what it costs to get the function I want, but I don't see any added function attached to that price tag. But, I guess looks (or NO looks, as we'd only get it to integrate it) are important too.

But darn it, I just want FIT at this point!
