I got it now. I have a mail app on the phone and can use it away from home with aol.com to get my mail as I tried it a bit ago while shopping so if I need to send a photo I can set that up quick to send. It's just time time warner road runner address that has to be connected at home to the servers here. I don't prefer to use a mail app on the phone full time because I have no home phone and have to leave my phone on 24/7 so I don't want it snagging email so it doesn't get to the desktop mail program and I don't see anyway to turn these email apps off on devices other than to delete the account or I guess make sure the wifi and 4g are off. Maybe you can help with this. I just go the LG optimus L9. I came from a basic talk and text phone to this android phone. On my old phone when I put the memory card in it made folders for like photos, sounds, video and that's where stuff automatically saved On the new phone I formatted the card in the phone but when I hook phone to computer there is just one main folder everything is going into and it didn't make separate ones. I thought the guy at the store said it should make all those folders so is it supposed to or do anrdroid phones not work that way or maybe the one I got doesn't? Mary

"what does carbon copy mean:?" Carbon Copy comes from the snail mail procedure of placing carbon paper betwen sheets of paper to make one or more copies at once. In the case of email it just means you're sending to more than one recipient. I've never understood why it is used as all recipients can see each others email address. BCC: If you type the address of one or more recipients, other than the initial recipient, in this space none of the recipients will see the other's address. Why would you use this?...because most people don't want their email address given to one and all.

Call them up and say, I'm quitting now if you can't fix this problem. Sometimes that's the only way to get help. You will need to go to Tech Support and have someone you can understand. When you uninstall you don't really lose all of your AOL Files. Errors that are in the AOL files can and do sometimes stay and keep causing problems. When I have a problem that I can't get rid of I do this. Right click AOL - properties - Find Target - Select All - Delete. (Be careful that you delete all files before leaving because you won't be able to come back.) Go to Control Panel - Add and Remove - Uninstall any AOL files their. Delete all AOL Icons. Use CCleaner for Clean and also the Registry. Save the Backup. It would also be a good idea to make a Registry Backup. I than use an AOL CD to Reinstall AOL. I have Windows XP Home Edition. Use the above only if all else fails. I'm not sure what will happen to your PFC Files. To be safe use Saved on AOL in Manage mail. Registry Backup. Start - run - type regedit - OK Open file at the left top - click export - Go to my documents - For Save type - Backup - Save. To use your Registry Backup. Start - run - type regedit - OK Open File - Import - right click your Registry Backup - Click Merge. Don't be moving it to a different location. This can cause difficulty in getting it to work.

Frontier so far is pretty funny & frustrating too to me. I now have my original Verizon email which is actually older mike@gte.net forwards to mail.AOL.com which forwards to mike@hotmail.com . I did get some kind of customer access code number mailed to my Hotmail which was on the account for Verizon as contact email. I have no idea what to do with that yet. But I go to Frontier and I don't seem to have an account yet.. to pay my bill online... keeps sending me around in circles. I imagine they are kind of busy right now. I can see how they have probably messed up big time... my Verizon mail all forwarded to Hotmail... when they changed me to mail.aol.com... they quit forwarding it to Hotmail and had it all going to AOL. If I hadn't realized what happened .. I'd be missing and wondering where some very important mail was. I'd almost suspect Verizon will have their FIOS in my neighborhood in coming months and be offering FIOS packages at lesser prices than Frontier sells the services it bought from verizon. Kind of like using the money they sold me to frontier for, to string fiber to my neighborhood. Lots of this area already has been slowly getting the FIOS strung around.
