You did notice of course that the 'founder' of Garden Brain is Dominic Paul Masiello.......see the connection to our OP?? This is just another blatant attempt at self-promotion very poorly disguised as Joe Gardener having difficulty picking out plants. So Dominic - do you really have all that trouble picking out plants with a BS in Landscape Architecture?? If so, how in the world can you justify anyone visiting your website and paying YOU to do just that?? Do you really think we're all that stupid that we couldn't see through this?

Glad you're feeling better! Summer colds are the pits. I went to the one on Stark. Thanks again for the tip! Because of traffic I wound up not getting there until soon before they closed, which was a total bummer. I could have wandered around there for hours! That's definitely where I'll be going when I'm choosing flowers for my window boxes next spring. I picked up the Mme Julia and it's gorgeous. Thanks for your comment about enjoying the blooms before cutting back - I knew I was supposed to cut back when I planted, but I didn't want to because there are so many flower buds on it, and I was feeling very guilty for waiting. I don't think this one had been one of the hold-overs - it has one long stem and one new one. The roots filled up the container, but it wasn't the tight clump of roots that my other clematis (purchased at Cornell Farms) had. Regardless, it looks great, and I'm very happy. So thanks again!

Interesting tree. I'm growing three from cuttings I took from one of the survivors I planted when we lived in the countryside. Lots of new growth already this season.

Mikie - thanks. The font I'm looking for is lucida calligraphy italic. It's interesting that link does suggest that the font is in Office 2003 - which includes Word 2003. But it is not in my Word 2003 - which was part of an Office 2008 suite (I gather they have had different versions of Word 2003 over the 5 years). I'll have to go back to check the free font suppliers. I did see a link to buy it for $20 (which would be worth it to me). Bob414 - I do still have my older computer with Word 2002 (and the lucida calligraphy font). I gave that computer to my daughter, so it's still up and running. How would I get the font from that computer to mine? Being fairly computer illiterate, the only way I can think of is if I can find the .ttf file and attach it in an email to myself and open and install it on the new computer. If that's not right, do you have other suggestions? Thank you both. I was unable to find the information you so quickly provided. Lynn.
