Where to put robe hooks?

I am planning on using hooks intead of towel bars for the kids bathroom (2 kids). The bathroom is separated into two areas by a pocket door - sink area and toilet/shower area.
I was definitely thinking of putting a hook right next to the shower for use when someone is taking a bath or shower.
My question is where to put the hooks for them to hang their towels?
I only need two hooks, so I could do two in the sink area. Or I could do three for symmetry (one would end up behind the door where I have a 1/2" clearance).
Or I could put 2 in the bathing area, but it would get a little crowded with the spot I thought the shower hook would go.
The vertical blue tape is where the edge of the door ends when you open it all the way.
Any ideas? Thank you!

There was a thought-provoking (and sometimes controversial) thread a while back about the ethics of shopping online vs. in brick-and-mortar stores. One point made is that if the store did you a service (provided expert knowledge, for instance), it would be fair to try to make the purchase from them or give them a chance to match or come down in price, if cost is a factor. Another point was that, even if the store hasn't provided specific expert knowledge, sometimes it can be valuable to see things in person before buying them (such as coordinating kitchen finishes). In this case, the store provides a service by having items in stock that you can examine in person, and that should be worth something. I know it's inconvenient to think about ethical "obligations" when shopping, but it's worth it to try to support local stores if we want to maintain varied competition and a chance to see items before buying (without waiting on shipping). And really, I don't know that the answer is cut and dried here anyway, since Bee was able to examine it in person, but not in the exact finish. Comments (7)Making it from scratch was my back up plan. But I have so many other projects I have to finish first. And then it seemed simpler to just adapt. My sewing machine is acting up and I donÂt know how to fix it. I did not want to take on something I could not finish, for both reasons. It has been a long time since I sewed clothing: the only thing IÂve done in the last 15 years has been curtains, pillows, repairs, etc. Do people still go to the fabric store and look through books? Or is there another way to find patterns? I made a really nice robe 20 years ago from some really elegant vertical quilted satin. It was elegant AND warm. I went to the store hoping to find a similar fabric, but could not find anything suitable. Fleece would not be my first choice but I do need something warm. I actually still have that pattern (it called for a wrap but I made it double breasted with fancy buttons instead, and snaps below). I thought of enlarging that pattern. IÂm umm, bigger now. ItÂs both 20 added pounds and I have muscles now, which I didnÂt have back then with a sedentary job. I would have to make the shoulders and arms bigger too. Comments (6)There are command hooks that can hold up to five pounds. There are also clear ones. Not sure if they would fit where you want them though. I agree with Annie-small nail and fishing line. My dad did that for years to add support to the Christmas tree. He put a small nail in the top of the window trim on the two flanking windows and wrapped the string around the tree. In your case, the string/line would just hang down straight. If that won't work for you and command hooks won't work, then maybe find another spot for it....See MoreWhat to coat a rusted hook? Comments (40)Not exactly a robe hook for me, but something I was determined to use for something else but was concerned about the original finish. The original finish was Satin, much like your robe hook (which I love!). No complaints, worked like a charm. Since then I've used Krylon Satin Clear on sooooo many things around the house. Protects the item, easy to apply, almost goof-proof and very inexpensive. And because it's a Satin finish, doesn't make the item shiny or plastic-looking. A Bunny wall plaque. (I can take a pic and post it if you'd like to see how it turned out). It is a smaller, sorta round plaque with lots of detail but because it's a smaller plaque, I wanted to make sure the detail would show. Tried it all lots of walls. Never quite liked where I tried. Don't even remember what sparked the idea but I decided to use the plaque as a trivet for either utensils while I'm cooking or to set my hot tea pot on while I get the cups ready for tea. Made sure the plaque was super-clean and dry. VERY LIGHTLY from about 3 ft. away I sprayed the plaque...VERY LIGHT FIRST COAT. I let it dry for several hours. Second VERY LIGHT coat. Dry. Third light coat. I've had the plaque clear-coated for awhile now and I don't have ANY yellowing, no flaking of the clear coat, no damage of the plaque or clear-coat from the hot tea pot and I've washed the plaque many, many times in the sink with dish soap and a teflon sponge to get dried stuff off that got dripped on it.
