When you say you deleted 30 pages of pics I hope you meant on your hard drive and not those already out on the site. If this is the case you can open your web site then right click on each page then click 'View source' or similar depending on what browser you are using. Then you can save the pages and also save the images.

Thanks for the reply! When I said 30 pages, this is actually 30 pages of pictures that I printed off from the website so I would have something to go by to put them back on. I don't have the site open right now, but I think there were 5 subcategories that were wiped out. I had hoped to be able to synchronize the missing folders, and then publish and the two would match, but the folders are not shown...just the jpegs, which could number in the thousands. Probably most of these jpegs are on the site in other pages which are still OK, so by the folders being missing, I can't tell which ones to synchronize. I sure don't want to lose the ones that are still there. This is the stripped down webpage. It looks bad without the background and bars, but I'll change all that when I find out just what Shared Borders I still have. The ones that are missing are in the table across the bottom on the Gallery page. Thanks for any help!!

OK I can see 856 files in 26 folders on your site Ida. These files seem to be your thumb nails on each page in the gallery. I then clicked on random thumbnails in various pages and the underlying image appeared in every instance. Of course I could have been lucky but it seems they are all there.

Your G - H page in the gallery still has the green background so that is not lost

How come you do not have a copy of your web site stored on your computer? This could be due to FrontPage, I do no understand that program at all. I would never modify a page already uploaded until I was completely satisfied with it on my computer copy.

What html program are you going to use now Frontpage is gone?

Sorry I wasn't clear! I guess I thought if I knew what I was thinking, you would too. LOL. Now, the files are still on my webpage because after I noticed I could not open up that bottom row of tables on my FP program on my computer, I did not republish. So as far as the visitors go, my pics are still there for viewing. I noticed the background is still on some of my pic pages, and I can put it back on all of them with one click. But that is what I was trying to remove in order to be in compliance with my webserver (ICD). And this is not just this one webserver, but all sites that use the FP extensions will be changed soon. I was just trying to get ahead of the game and get it all in compliance before the cut-off date, which could begin in August. After I removed everything down to the bare bones, I am still left with FP extensions somewhere on this site. What I needed was a list of what all is included in the Shared Borders that I can remove. And yes, I would love to be able to get my picture folders back on my website program on my computer like they are on the actual website. Oh, I have a copy of the website on drive c, but it is automatically backed up once a week, so is probably not going to be any better than what I have now. As a last resort, I may try again to sync my files. Sure appreciate you trying to help. I'll try to be clearer! Ida

I am lucky, I guess. I found a slightly outdated copy of my Frontpage program on my external hard drive. It was just a simple matter to create new pages and do a copy/paste from Drive K to my site on Drive C. So all my pics are saved for right now until I do something else stupid, which I
probably will because my problem is far from solved. When this site stops working soon, I'll be right back where I started from. Oh, I can still use Front Page, just not the extensions. Do you have a recommendation for another website builder? I don't want to do one online. Been there...done. I also can't afford Dreamweaver or anything like that.

Ida I used 1st Page 2000 for a long time it is a free program and you will find it very good. The link is below. You can download 2000 or the newer 2006 which is also free. Originally 2006 was for a fee but too few bought it so it became free but has a few seconds of nag screen on startup and on exiting. 2000 has none of that, you open the program and off you go. You can set the ease of use to easy, medium or the more professional settings. The output remains the same of course.

This is not a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) drag and drop program and I doubt that would be much use to you with so many photos to contend with.

Play with it for a couple of days to get comfortable before trying to modify your site perhaps. As you progress there is an option to verify the html coding which is a nice feature.
