Thanks Kathy! I am very very sure my gear-head bro can get it going if it's just water in the gas tank. I am pretty sure it's just the water thing. It starts and actually runs for a minute or two before dying, so it's not the ECU. I dried the car out by parking it up a hill (so the water would drain off) and opening the hood and putting the top down. It's almost ready for Mark to come fix it. Thank you for asking Janis; I am glad you care. I am so glad Nancy is ok! The tracks are still under water. Sewer water. She needs to stay out if it. Have you seen the footage of the horses being saved? It's almost as good as the humans being saved.

I'm suprised the usual response "just move!" wasnt parroted by the typical poster here. I am not advocating that unless you can easily do it. WHat I DO suggest is that you buy a simple hidden camera setup (you can even get software that allows you to turn a computer with webcam into a makeshift surveillence device) & set it up to record while you are gone. See what he does & if it is really bad/illegal.... you could get him arrested & possibly sue him. I am not a sue-happy person, but i believe in harsh consequences for someone maliciously invading my privacy (ESPECIALLY the landlord!) This landlord is obviously going to go snooping thru your things while you are gone. For all you know he may be sniffing & wearing your panties (or worse) while you are out! SOmething a landlord is NOT supposed to do. Might as well guard against it. Lock up anything you dont want him going thru. Use your window shades & be on the lookout for hidden cameras this perv just MAY install if he cant get his daily "window-peep" in. CHeck to see if there are laws that say when a landlord can come into your apartment without your permission. Most states have some sort of law regarding this (sadly my state doesnt). Be prepared for this guy to use the common landlord excuse that he is inspecting the place & doing repairs (that's why having him caught on camera sniffing your panties or snooping thru your things can prove he is lying... and can be used against him if need be). IMO a landlord who snoops is a person that should never EVER be a landlord again. Note: also.... buy some doorknob jams (a long steel device that allows you to prop between the doorknob & floor & prevents someone from entering the property while you are there)... or a small portable doorlock that allows you to lock any door from the inside ... like this... And if you are on a month to month lease.... be prepared for the possibility of being kicked you out after a month or two. Not saying it WILL happen , but it can. IMO.... every apartment dweller should have an easily operated video-recording device to guard against snooping landlords.

Ok thought I would post an update to give you a laugh for the day. Now I know some about computers as I learn stuff from boards like these and my guess is getting into control panel might have fixed it and if not I would have pushed the button to refomrat and take it to out of the box state. So my friends husband who knows nothing decided to fix it this weekend for her. His idea was to go to best buy and ask the geek squad. He expalined exactly what was wrong and you know what they told him? The only way to fix it was to buy a $200 copy of windows and put it right over top. I kid you not so that is what he came home and did to solve it. Personally pushing the button to take it to out of the box state which is free would have been a lot cheaper in my opinion but what do I know. Then her wireless did nto work after as what ever he did the drivers went missing so we got those from the toshiba site. She now has windows old and windows new it says on the computer. Hey at least he tried to help. I just don't understand why the geek squad would have said that and they didn't even say reformat or repair install or anything she said they just told him to plop it in and install right over top. I thought that was not recommended or have things changed? Mary

staycation- Good questions and you are obviously doing your homework. I would only recommend an Intelliflo for your filter pump for best overall low speed efficiency. Another lower cost option for your filter pump is a 2 speed pump which will offer almost the same low speed efficiency as Intelliflo within about 10%. For all other water features, I would recommend dedicated 1 speed or 2 speed pumps to delivery best gpm/watt efficiency and you will not be unhappy with any of your waterfeatures when using dedicated pumps. Trying to multi-task with an Intelliflo will ultimately leave you disappointed with your water feature performance and the Intelliflo pumps are not very efficient for high flow applications. Also keep the pipe sizes large (2.5" and sometimes 3"), especially for the high flow circuits, such as the waterfall and spa/overflow. This is the key to allowing the pumps to perform their job more efficiently and not have to work harder against added system restrictions. This all has to do with pipe velocities, so bottom line is if the circuit will only need low flow, like filtering and turning the pool at 30-60 gpm, then smaller pipe like 2" is all that is needed unless your pipe lengths are over 50 feet. If the circuit is going to require higher flow, like waterfalls, cleaners, spas, etc. the pipe size should be bigger to reduce pipe velocities resulting in less friction and more efficient pump and plumbing performance.
