Below is a link to one that is available in different widths and is frameless and recessed. Were you wanting/needing surface mount or recessed, or does it matter? Might Something like this add some additional storage when mounted to the inside of a vanity door, if you have a vanity with doors? They can be found various places in various sizes. Blum hardware holes are already drilled into all Ikea doors. On my upper cabinets, which are 14" deep, I bought Blum Aventos HF (expensive!) to have slide-up folding doors, and I put Ikea doors turned sideways (to become 15"h by 30"w). Three sets of them. kitchendreaming it is child's play to line something up to meet the pre existing holes, using any method of Blum + frameless, not just the one I described as my choice. Sometimes there are minor differences between Ikea's current version of Blum hardware and Blum's current version of hardware. Not a big deal. It is normal to ask your question, and yes I confirm that this can be done, without any difficulty: it's so easy it's numbskull simple. It's just a wall cabinet, a cubic volume, the simplest kind of box to build. I hope this makes you feel more independent and less dependent. In this thread I dislike the post above saying that using Ikea panels, and Blum hardware on wall cabinets not from Ikea, will somehow lead to not gaining the advantage or somehow losing the advantage. Sounds like weasel words from a salesman who is afraid to admit the truth and wants to create a dependency. OTOH, perhaps the poster didn't know that Blum is Blum is Blum. Hth

I'm doing a concealed microwave (when we can actually get a GC...different story for a different day). And for it, we are planning on a barrister style door opening (it is one door and it opens upward and retracts in at the top of the cabinet). I felt that I would prefer one cabinet door to open as opposed to two for the microwave. And then we are doing a concealed small appliance cabinet that will have two doors and open the way you are mentioning for your microwave, although that may change to a barrister style also depending on if I can get enough height to that cabinet. But you are correct that if the doors are full overlay, they will cover everything. It doesn't matter if the cabinet is framed or frameless. What you need to do is have the doors for that cabinet NOT be full overlay but instead you'll do a flush/inset/furniture style door for that cabinet. There is an alternative to the two things I mentioned above that allows you to have the door lift upwards and it holds open up that way - that option allows for a full overlay door since it doesn't need clearance to retract inside the cabinet...drawback to it is that it blocks any cabinet that is above it while you are using the microwave.

For size, you can also get customized sizing where cabinets can be ganged together. For example, two 12 inch cabinets ganged together or two 15" ganged together would work where you can add lighting as an option and have interchangeable left or right open doors. It gives you alot of storage over your vanity without looking too wide. And if you want to spend the extra cost, you can have them recessed mounted as well. This will make them look flush with wall and less bulky over any sized vanity. And some of these mirrored medicine cabinets have integrated LED lighting, which can also offer a nightlight with dinner function. So, you will not only have lighting from your main bathroom, but an additional light source. I hope this helps
