Cannot remove Inbox.com

Can anyone help me with removal of Inbox.com...My husband installed while trying to install a Nickolodeon game for my son. It does not show up in my programs add/remove. I am using windows XP. I want to get Verizon back as my home page when using Internet Explorer.

Hi folks, I just wanted to point that the link that tulsarose has posted was targeted in the yellow by my WOT plug-in. Visiting this site posses the possibility that your online safety might be compromised. This sites actions in the past have had them listed as a site that engages in the distribution of malicious software. Be very careful if you decide to continue to this site.

Inbox.com and the toolbar are associated the Crawler Toolbar. It would be of your best interest to register at LandzDown and have Corrine perform a more thorough check to ensure that you have no other malware that was installed along side. Inbox.com is very aggressive and obviously has hi-jacked your home page.

The mower died at a site I cut gratis. I'm not in the cutting business. It's about 5 minutes from home. It acted like a dead battery. Turned over real slow but wouldn't start. When I got home I found the rightmost cell dry. Added water but I just kept adding. Pulled the battery and there was a groove in the bottom of the battery holder. Checked the battery and a groove in the bottom of it. I rinsed the area very well. I thought. My bad. All this took maybe an hour. Three years later there is no visible corrosion anywhere I can see. rant Two years ago I replaced all 4 tires during Rita cleanup. Took a month to get everything cleared. You realize that includes two weeks running a generator. We only lost the garage and everything in it. 16 trees down. Oaks, hickory, pecans, pines and an ash. The house came out ok. That little Murray worked its tail off. Three acres waist deep in limbs and brush from the ones that didn't come down. First time I had to live for a while on MREs. They're better than the C rats back in the sixties. I swear the K rats we had were from Korea. Insurance doesn't come close to replacing everything. Try putting a value on an heirloom. I'm still remembering stuff that was never submitted. /rant Yea I admit it. Once I found out that the battery had dropped acid on the pulley I should have torn down the rear end and cleaned it properly. I didn't. I posted what happened to me so it might stick in somebody's mind if they ever find a groove in the bottom of their battery. And no, bushleague, it wasn't a Craftsman. Or a Walker. ;^)

That's a quick-disconnect system, sold at the "big box" hardware stores (under the "Comet" brand name, if I'm not mistaken). The piece attached to the spigot is the female fitting. The piece attached to the hose is the male fitting. There are three rubber rings visible in your picture. The uppermost ring attaches the female fitting to the spigot. Grasp it tight and loosen in the usual way. (Penetrating oil on the threads at the top may help.) The middle ring is the quick-disconnect feature. Grab it and pull it up to release. (You may have to wiggle the hose with that ring pulled up to get it to release from the internal O-ring.) The skinny one on the bottom attaches the male fitting to the hose. Grasp it and loosen the hose in the usual way. The main weak point of this system is that the rubber rings deteriorate with age and lose their grip on the pieces to which they attach. Ultimately, they'll fall right off. If you can't get enough grip via the rubber bits, you have no choice but to use a tool (e.g. some sort of slip-joint pliers or a pipe wrench). This will likely destroy whatever remains of the rubber, but you have no real choice. Once you get it apart, some WD40 or silicone grease on the internal O-ring can make it work better/last longer. It's very convenient when working properly -- and a royal PIA when not (as you've discovered).

We moved to Florida from NY. The house we bought was so dark inside because of large overhangs from the roof which blocks sunlight and a large lanai running across the back wall which has a roof, no sunlight. We liked the house, but I couldn't stand how dark it was inside. Before we moved in, I call a Tubular Skylight company to get an estimate on installing them in the house. Recommendation was a large one in the kitchen ceiling ($500.00), small one in a bathroom off the hallway($250.00), a medium size in the family room off the kitchen ($325.). I can't tell you how bright this area is now. What I liked is they just go through your attic, make the openings and can position the tube (in the attic) toward south so we get bright light from sunrise to sunset. Over the past 6 yrs when we could afford more, we added to the laundry room (no windows), another bathroom (small skylight), the dining room. My house is so bright when you walk in you think there are spotlights all over the place. It took me a while, initially when the first ones were put in to get used to the high level of light. Looked like a new house! Before putting them in, we had to have our overhead lights lit all day. That costs a lot of money. I feel these tube skylights have paid for themselves in 5 yrs. Plus the house looks like a bright, inviting home. Everyone who walks in comments on how bright our home is. I would look into installing at least one large one in the kitchen, maybe a medium in the hall. So much less expensive than 'real skylights' and keeping the lights lit all day. Jane

Well, personally, I wouldn't order a suite from the same manufacturer - no one does all of them well (I would definitely consider a Bosch or Miele dishwasher over a GE). As to the fridge, the freezer in a SxS is fairly narrow. Do check the models in person to see if you can deal with that. The French Door model does have hot water in the door, and it's ridiculous. We never use that option. It takes long to heat up and I think the maximum volume is 8 or 10 ounces of water. It's MUCH quicker and more efficient to use an electric kettle (we have one with multiple temperature settings). So personally, it's a gimmick and a waste of money.

As for Linux...no thanks. I'm too danged old and set in my ways to attempt learning an entirely new operating system.

I use linux and I still have WOT on all my browsers, I like to know where I am going too. I do have other windows computers and have friends with them so would not want to accidentally send a red wot site to them.

now to your problem are you using firefox? if so you may just have inbox as a plug in you would need to check in your plugin list and remove it from there in firefox. Tools>add ons> plugins could be in the add ons too click to uninstall it then restart your firefox.

In your add remove programs it should be listed there as inbox toolbar that is what you would want to remove

and to reset your home page to what ever page you want it to be in firefox do the following within firefox ,click tools>options>the main tab at the top, then where it says set home page make sure you are on the page you want to have as your home page and then select use current page. Or type in the proper address for the site you want and select the proper option.

Another thing that sometimes happens with that tool bar is that it adds inbox to your search engines you can remove it from there also. up on your browser bar right next to the google icon in the goole search bar there is a tiny drop down arrow there that lists search engines you can remove inbox from there and put google back as the regular first choice.

If I was a betting man, and I am not as I don't gamble, I'd be willing to bet it is not the Inbox website that is of concern, but rather the toolbar product itself.

And, though advise is shared concerning FF I only see a comment by the original poster as to IE.
