What wall oven to go with Advantium
Comments (8)Here is the Wolf E and the Advantium They look like 2 peas in a pod! Several posters wanted to know if they were one or 2 ovens until I pointed out they were 2 different companies. The only thing is the clock colors are different - but you could go with the L series and get the flipper so the display is hidden - for me, it was a price break....See Morespeed oven or steam oven?
Comments (7)Neither the combi-steam nor the Advantium functions well as a toaster, although both will brown foods. We bought a toaster & pitched our aging toaster oven. I have used the combi to bake small batches of muffins, a single loaf or pan of bread, & some casseroles, including a breakfast french toast souffle that benefits from having a bit of steam. Our wall oven version of the Advantium has a turntable & no stacking capability. Other versions may have a stacking rack, but we chose the 240 wall version for speed. The Gagg combi can definitely hold more food: it has four rack holders that can accomodate wire racks, perforated pans, and solid pans. Half-sheet pans (trays) will fit on top of the rack holders. We usually bake cookies & cakes in our full size oven. Using convection mode, several racks can be baked at the same time. We also like the full size oven to make bacon for a crowd: single layer on cookie sheet(s) & into a 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes....See More95% done! Comments (49)cjc123, sabjimata, flwrs-n-co, jkom51, mtnrdredux thanks! We are really enjoying the new space. It is so much more functional and easy to work in. Ginger25 and jenhp: "Blizzard" is warmer than the pure white or organic white from Caesarstone. I think it works better with the rusty Danby marble than those purer whites. Here are some closeups of the Caesarstone, as requested (these are in artificial light): You have to get REALLY close up (3 inches in this case) to see the fine speckles. From farther back but as close as a foot, it reads solid white: Elba1, the uppers are 37 inches tall. The trim between the cabinets and ceiling is under 2 inches, just enough to tie the cabinets to a little bit of a crooked ceiling. There is also a 1 inch light rail underneath the uppers, to hide the under cabinet lights. The ceiling is 8 feet. I thought about incorporating some glass, but I wanted to avoid breaking up the space, for a more contemporary look. If my ceilings were higher, I would have considered a top glass section as well!...See MorePic of Profile Advantium w/ Monogram Door!
Comments (21)debbienp7, nice swap! The GE Profile badge, if it's a decal, might come off with some careful SS cleaner scrubbing. I had part of a GE SS cooktop control label come off when I scrubbed too hard with a SS cleaner. A couple other parts sites to check are repairclinic.com (also has 365 return policy) and geapplianceparts.com (OEM). I've ordered from both with fine results and the prices can vary between them all. repairclinic.com helped me fix my dryer (31 year old Maytag heating element finally died) and geapplianceparts.com has exploded diagrams that are essential to parts swapping. I think appliancepartspros have the exploded diagrams as well, right? It's great to have multiple sites to price shop. I had a single black GE wall oven (discontinued) that the PO put in. My first mod was to get a GE Profile rolling oven rack that fit perfectly in the regular GE oven--so nice to have the rack roll so easily! The second mod was to get the control panel cover and door panel in SS. The control cover was cheapest from repairclinic and the door panel cheapest from ge itself, hard to imagine I know. cheers...See Moreathensmomof3
