Randy, Thanks for your reply...really appreciate your taking the time to do that. I do have Firefox set to clear all private data upon closing the browser, and am glad to hear you have confidence that it does so. I have an older version of Window Washer and it does the job on IE, but it doesn't contain the option to add Firefox. I understand that newer versions do. I hadn't heard of CCleaner, but you have me curious now so I may check it out. Thanks again for your help Hal

Kudzu9, I asked this same thing just recently...using Hotmail and Firefox. Below is a link to the thread. and here is part of it. When you click on 'new' to send a message in hotmail and start a new message you will see 'show plain text' under the subject line. Click on this and it will change to 'show rich text'. Paste your link and when you send it it will be clickable. You can check this in your 'sent' box. You might want to read it all though, as I have an AOL friend who says they are not clickable for her from me. but I have some computer-challenged relatives who haven't quite mastered the concept of cutting and pasting a link, I too know lots of folks who do not know how to copy and paste at all. Here is a link that might be useful: how do I make a URL clickable in an email?

Here is a link to Firefox and pages not loading properly. One of the many possible problems cited may be the add-ons and plug-ins but suggest you take the steps from the top. In your statement of your problem: 1-Error includes the word "chrome" and if that is Google's Chrome you might consider taking care of Chrome at least temporarily. (I avoid using Chrome because I am somewhat paranoid when it comes to Google and accusations of misuse of its data collection.) As to slowness of browsers, you might also look to make sure you do not have too many programs loading when you boot your computer. As I recall, I had to download/install a newer version of Adblock Plus following the last Firefox update. Sometimes the add ons are no longer compatible and need to be reinstalled using a compatible add on. I'm sorry for those of you that struggle with the updates. I don't even give it a thought, I just expect to need to reconfigure after updates and take it in stride.
