Adblock Plus no longer working!

I'm seeing ads on GardenWeb! I never see ads! Is anyone else having this new problem? It's not just Garden Web. THe weather site had a video of a cup of coffee bouncing and weaving ("mornings are not always smooth"). Moving ads give me headaches.

A few days ago I updated Firefox, but things were okay at first.

Any thoughts?

CC, yesterday early morning I had blue Oreos ALL OVER GW. They disappeared mid-morning. Seriously, the entire screen was blue with Oreos everywhere. I couldn't even read the text 'cause it was under the Oreos.

Well, Firefox just updated itself again, to 5.0.1. I hoped that would be the fix, but no.

I posted this also in the thread in question. With the link that the OP posted, I can see the pictures. With the clickable thumbnails that Sue provided, I can see them. When I click on the bird bath picture, I get The action that you were trying to perform has failed. . When I click on the barn picture, it takes me to the OPs photobucket where I can see the picture. Why I can see one and not the other is a mystery. I'm using FF with no add-ons. Bernie

You need to add the easy list subscription to the adblock plus, in the settings you can select the subscriptions.

I use it and find it confusing. I would enable it and if it blocks something you want to see Right Click the item and tell it to allow. It used to give me a hard time, but now I forget it is installed. It seems to work very well. I also use Flashblock which I love. It blocks all flashing, jumping ads. If you want to see them you click on the space on the screen and they appear. Love, love both these add ons. Jane

The Easy List filter in AdBlock Plus had somehow gotten un-enabled. In Firefox Preferences, going to "Manage Add-ons" let me get it working again. I'll leave it to DH to figure out how that could have happened.

I had the same Oreo's on my GW yesterday too! It drove me off of the site!
Today, no problem and nothing updated!

I haven't seen an ad yet. I did not upgrade my FF to the 5.XX whatever version.

Yes, I had some problems yesterday with the Oreo ads too, both at work where I'm using Explorer and at home using Firefox.

Today it seems OK so far....

I use Firefox with Adblock Plus and NoScript. Using NoScript involved a bit of a learning curve but I soon figured out how to adjust it for every website I use. I have the setting set to block most things and if I click on a link and can't see everything I want all I have to do is click once to temporarily allow all on the page. I never see the green underlines or any ads here and have never seen the oreo blue screen that is making life miserable for a lot of people here. And I didn't have to find and figure out how to get the EasyList they talk about on the Kitchen Table.

I had NoScript for a while but I disabled it because it drove me nuts having to deal separately with each page.
AdBLock Plus alone seems to do all that I need.

Just have to say how much I love AdBlock. When I am forced to use IE, I am stunned by all the carp out there. I would not even be able to use my Yahoo email if I had to look at their gross ads all the time.

I love it too, Pam. I couldn't believe what the wonderful Pandora site looked like when the filter was off -- suggesting I meet singles in my area!
