I would really recommend Flickr. It's a great community of people and a way to friend people, comment on their pictures and join groups of like-minded people. I'm on quite a few mosaic flickr groups and just love it. I've also made some friends and the uploading/downloading and space is all free. Plus you can always just post a link to your flickr account if you can't get the pictures here. I find it the easiest of all of them.

Highalttransplant, I always just coded linked thumbnails by hand because I didn't know Photobucket had a tool that generates the code, and I don't have much trouble doing it. It turns out Photobucket can generate the html for you: Follow this link to this Photobucket Tutorial, What you want to do for a clickable thumbnail is #5, HTML clickable thumbnails for eBay, LiveJournal, MySpace, etc. Most folks just post their full sized pics. I got in the habit of posting thumbnails because a thread full of large pics can be really huge, and if there's a whole lot of responses with full sized pics, it could be painful for those on dial up. I learned the basics of Irfanview in 2 hrs. - cropping, resizing, color adj. You can embed a title in a pic., change a .gif or .png to .jpg, change an image to grey tones, set up a slide show, blur/sharpen, and much more. And it's fast. If I have to clone I reluctantly use Photoshop Elements. When I compared the results of a photo sharpened with Elements with one by Irfanview, I preferred the Irfan. Photofiltre is also freeware. imgur.com is what I use, it's so so easy and you can make albums like any other site if you start an account. The HTML link is presented in the right way for you right off to the side. Best of all is the drag and drop feature, just put the images onto your desktop and drag them over the imgur homepage and it'll auto load.
