My favorite story is the one wherein Jaz's not so happy officemate sent her rantings to Jaz (and her as always, diplomatic answer back)!!! I don't fiddle with the computer much outside of work, so mine is work, not personal. But it's ugly. I have the inside track for things at work because I work with the top dude. We had a search committee going, and of course, with the different types of input needed to cover all the bases for our hirees, the committee, by definition, is very diverse. I was compiling the comments after a particular guest visited, to be distributed before the next meeting, in order to see which obstacles needed to be overcome before hiring. One committee member, having done it a blue million times, had two sets of comments, one for the head of the committee only, and one for the committee, much more watered down and middle of the road. Of course, I, in my infinite wisdom, sent the blasting email to all the committee, including the Dean, which had the part bolded (the part that was supposed to draw my attention to the email, as the one not to send), DO NOT SHOW THIS TO THE COMMITTEE. UGH!!! Biggest faux pas ever, and I'm still redfaced whenever I see the guy. God love him.

I have received another helpful letter from him laying some recommendations out to me and finishing off with "I wish you well with your applications. I believe they are well supported and I would be making the same types of applications if my grandchild was at risk. Please contact me to let me know of the outcome". Ann you gave me some really good advice which reminds me to constantly be in touch with the authorities etc. In fact I am going to communicate with the case worker on Monday. She certainly has taken on a lot of power and I know does not believe in separating the siblings, but we do get along and is quite easy to talk to. The foster mum though has become a friend and we can discuss things amongst ourselves which we do not share with the case worker, and we are in touch with each other more than once a week. I do have contact information for all the other lawyers, who now are obliged to include us in all notifications. I already have a very large file of my own and have been diligent in saving all e-mails and printing when relevent, infact anything to do with the case, Our huge affidavit, as well as our police records, home study report and anything that we have from the ministries, and our lawyer. Our son who has been involved but in the background, we believe will be more visual on our lawyer's recommendation as he is the birth father. Even though his job as a tree faller makes it impractical for him to parent Ryan, he has made affidavit to the fact that he wants and trusts his parents to do this. Thanks again. I refer to my son-in-law a lot because he is a lawyer in Vancouver. Though he practices corporate law, he has still been helpful to us, though he does not profess to know a lot about family law. He was thinking we had no rights as grandparents, where in actual fact that is not the case when the children are in a foster home, grandparents and extended family also, do have rights! He couldn't send it because he got that message...I'll check that setting. Below is the answer I got from my server...are they blowing smoke? :o) Increasing the size really isn't a good option, 99% of email services in the world allow less than 5mb for a single email. We allow 10mb, double the industry standard. The problem with large emails is that people send them out, they end up bouncing and then mail systems all over the world get hampered by emails bouncing back and forth thru them. Ask your sender to either zip the attachment to make it smaller, or if it's multiple attachments to have him break them up over several emails. If you need 1 single compressed attachment that is still larger than 10mb, let me know and I will show you other methods of sending files this large. Anything in Outlook Express does not count against your quota, Quarantine does not either. The only things that would count against you are if you log into Webmail, anything in Inbox and Sent Mail and any folders you created in Webmail count against it. You said earlier tho that you were at 0%, so I would assume that your webmail is empty and therefore you have nothing to worry about there. I will increase your quota to 50mb, but I guarantee that other people your friend communicates with are going to have the same troubles and they will end up having to learn to shrink their emails down like everyone else in the world.

Do you mean block all his emails? There should be the option in Outlook Express to do this. In Windows Mail you go to "Tools" on your email window, scroll down to "Junk Email Options", find "Blocked Senders" and "Add", then add his email.
