I believe it can't be. That is why I went with Miele. I'm sure someone will confirm.

This may be too late for you, but I have the Electrolux Pro Icon oven and speed oven. Love them both! Have almost never used the speed feature in 4 months but it is used daily as a microwave (often several times a day) and I have used it lots as a regular and convection oven. I am having a harder time wrapping my head around the speed oven but I am planning on using it tomorrow to cook sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving. The one thing it was fabulous for is cooking my baked beans which take over an hour to bake and for the bacon to get crisp, and it took 30 minutes or less in the speed oven. I LOVE my Electrolux oven! It has lots of features I didn't realize it had which I have loved. For example, speed cook. I have a crock pot which I love to use but it is stored inconveniently and I plug it in on my island so as not to hurt the marble countertops. I worry someone will get burned or knock it over. The last two times I would have used my crock pot (for ribs and for chili), I used my oven instead. Worked beautifully. The ribs I did in foil pans and I could make more which was good because we were feeding more than would fit in my crock pot. The other feature it has which I haven't used but would have liked to know about is the warming drawer. This is a great feature! I have a warming drawer, which is probably good since I just have the one true oven, but if you are doing a double oven (and probably if you are not since you can used your speed oven), it eliminates the warming drawer (which I love and use lots). Then you can have just a drawer for storage!

UPDATE!!! As outlined above, our Electrolux Pro High Speed oven failed after less than 2 ý years of use. The wave guide was burnt and the oven was deemed unrepairable. After contacting Electrolux, the best they would offer (even after assuring them I would file a small claims suit to recover the full amount) was 40 percent of the purchase price - around 800.00. This was not satisfactory to us and was a great disappointment. As a last resort, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Electrolux responded with a reiteration of their offer previously made of 40%. The BBB closed their complaint noting this was an "unsatisfactory" resolution. Within a week or two I was contacted by Electrolux offering to replace the item with the lower trim level Designer series. This would not work for us as we have a pro level oven below the speed oven and the items would not match in our new house/kitchen. After explaining to them this issue (and waiting for my original contact person to come back from Thanksgiving vacation), I contacted the person giving me this offer at the beginning of this week. She went to her boss, who authorized a Visa card for 1999.00 to be issued to us upon receipt of a letter confirming their offer along with the model number sticker. Apparently the pro icon speed oven trim level has been discontinued, at least according to Electrolux and AJ Madison website (where I purchased it originally). I was able to locate it in stock at Sears and it should be (fingers crossed) delivered in January (hoping it is truly in stock because Electrolux says their stock is low to zero). I purchased it at Sears and although I have to pay taxes on it (unlike at AJ Madison) it is worth it to me assuming it arrives! I was worried about calling AJ Madison and going that route again as that is where the defective oven came from in the first place (almost certainly not their fault but still). So SUCCESS!!! And hats off to Electrolux for standing by their product. Unfortunately, it took a lot of wrangling but the system appears to work and no lawsuit was necessary. If all goes well, I will post an update on Twitter and Facebook where I originally posted my complaint. As an aside, this oven now offers a 3 year warranty rather than the 1 year my original oven had, as long as you register it with Electrolux within 60 days of purchase. Also, I will investigate an extended warranty plan through Electrolux in case the magnetron fails again (we went through 2 and needed a 3rd). I did purchase it with my American Express which supposedly will extend the 3 year warranty to 5 years.

I am WAY behind on this conversation but it's relevant to me now so I'm hoping maybe some of you can comment on how this has worked out for you. We purchased the Electrolux ICON microwave a couple years ago for our kitchen remodel. We had planned for it to go under counter. Installation day came and the installer saw the 36" above ground spec and even though could not come up with any reason as to why did not feel comfortable installing. So, we ended up getting a Sharp microwave drawer instead which was fine but I had really wanted the "2nd oven" since we were taking out wall ovens and replacing with a single stand alone range. Anyway, we were unable to return the ICON which was a pretty painful mistake at $1600+ !! I've tried to sell it on OfferUp, NextDoor but no luck. Now we are in a different house and undertaking another complete kitchen remodel. We made plans to install another microwave drawer in the island but we've discussed the situation of the Electrolux to see if there's any way we can use it instead. It's still in the box on the pallet it arrived on. Our kitchen designer and installers could not figure it out either and the designer even called Electrolux and the person he spoke to couldn't figure it out and said they didn't see any problem with it but that it wouldn't be covered under warranty if we installed it there. I'm not thinking this is a big deal because we're already out of the warranty period anyway. I just called Electrolux myself to see if I got the same answer. She didn't say anything about the warranty but said that it was an ergonomic or burn issue. Personally, I don't see how bending down to get something out of the microwave at this height is any different to getting something out of a regular oven (which is actually even lower and deeper!).
