If you have the space there are under-counter "beverage centers", which could be used for both wine and other beverages, like beer and pop and such. This would give you the option of freeing up room in your main fridge and giving you other options in choices for a fridge. I am not familiar with other options off hand for a fridge that has that as a feature. You could try a site like AJMadison.com and see if you can refine a search on there for something like that to see if there are other options. Phil

You may be able to find an imported unit from Asia for under $1,000; however, you'll be getting what you pay for (not truly 2 zones, doesn't build in well, prone to not working after a year or 2). As far as true dual zone units, I know that U-Line, Marvel, and Sub Zero all make units that you may want to consider

Not sure if you've found a wine fridge yet, but I thought I'd add my two cents anyway :) Koldfront makes a 15" wide wine fridge that's not too huge but still stocks a decent collection of up to 30 (standard size) bottles. I have had a Liebherr beverage and outdoor fridge for 2+ years with no issues, and they are dead silent. They also make wine fridges. We also considered Perlick but we came out far better pricewise with Liebherr. In our previous home we had. Uline for over 5 years, and it performed flawlessly; however, they have changed their design, and I have heard a few in showrooms and new homes that are not nearly as quiet as the one we had. Our builder had a client that put in Monogram wine fridges and they seemed quiet when I was looking at the home. Totally agree about Miele and Bosch dishwashers. I have had both and prefer my Miele with the open air drying system and rack configurations as well as overall build quality. As the above poster suggests - go look at them and see which one will work best for you.
