Restoration Hardware vanity: sink switching and baseboard issues
Comments (5)Thank you, everyone. I just talked to the carpenter and he agrees with you, Chris. He said he will scribe (?) the baseboard to fit the curve of the vanity legs. I hope I got the term correct. The next step is to wait for the plumber and the granite fabricators to call me back on their solution to the sink installation. A friend thinks that the fabricator will have clips to attach my sink to the granite. I've never done anything with stone countertops before so this will be my first time doing this. Thanks for all the handholding and suggestions. One of these days things will finally be finished in this build and I'll try to learn a new skill and post pictures of how it all turned out....See More*Really* like the Restoration Hardware Vanities
Comments (25)I have no experience with RH vanities but am happy with the quality of our RH wood dining table, coffee table, side table and library media cabinet, as well as a metal side table. I also just ordered the salvaged dining sideboard and it seems to be a handsome, sturdy piece of furniture, although it's still sitting in my garage and yet to be used. They work well with our antique pine and oak pieces. My RH furniture pieces are all much nicer than some of the damaged furniture I've seen at the outlets, although my coffee table and media unit came from the outlet and they're perfect (after DH glued back on some loose trim from the media cabinet - but it was 60% off and worth the small effort!). The vanities in the RH stores look pretty nice to me, especially compared to my old 1980's vanity! That said, I wouldn't want to order one if I couldn't see it in person first. When we redo our bathroom I'll probably try to save some money and buy the cabinets from Conestoga or Barkers, with a bargain stone remnant for the counter....See MoreBathroom vanities for less than Restoration Hardware prices...
Comments (2)I was looking for the same thing about a year ago and never had much success so I had one custom-made, but since then I saw someone's post on here with a link to a place that seems to have very nice, very inexpensive RH-like vanities. I recommend checking out this place http://www.directtoyoufurniture.com/product.aspx?ID=195346&CatID=1393. I don't have any affiiliation to them, in fact I've not even purchased anything from them so I can't speak to quality or service, but I thought their vanities looked nice online....See MoreLess expensive version of Restoration Hardware Chatham Knob/Pull
Comments (0)I love Restoration Hardware's Chatham knobs and pulls in satin nickel, but can't really afford them (even with the 20% off). Does anyone know where I can find a copy? I've looked at several sites, but no luck. I can't figure out how to post the picture right now, but it's on the RH website. Thanks!...See Morebrutuses
