Yes, congratulations! I like the Colts, but love an underdog, so I would have been happy with whoever won this year---- the Saints played their hearts out -- have fun celebrating the win!

Great game. I'm so glad the Saints beat the Colts (we in Baltimore have never forgiven the Colts!!).

Congrats. to the Saints. I am typing through my tears that the Colts lost, but I wouldn't have wanted to lose to any other team than the Saints.
Every Colts fan knows the hate of the Baltimore fans. We have vowed never to go to Baltimore for another Colts-Ravens game ever. It is not safe being a Colts fan there.

Yahoo Karen, Yahoo dlynn! I was at a party with a room full of Saints fans...and two Colts fans amongst them, who left early when the Colts were ahead, saying 'looks like the Colts are eating the Cajuns'. After the game we left a message on the answering machine, chorusing 'WHO DAT!'

Yep, We Won Dat!

After the game all of the phone lines were so jammed at home, I couldn't even get a call through to my mom for about a half hour. She said it's really noisy outside with everyone blowing their horns and shooting fireworks -- just crazy.

My cousin called me during the game from NOLA and said they had gone to some friend's house for a party. The friend said before the game started that if the Saints were losing at halftime, everyone would have to leave and go wherever they usually go to watch out of town games when we were winning. Then at halftime when we were behind, the party ended and everyone left so they wouldn't jinx the team.

Everytime we screamed, clapped and jumped up during the game we scared our cats and they ran out of the room. But our dog loved it. She would get up wagging her tail and follow us marching around the room too. She's definitely a Who Dat.

Dlynn, we heard you! All the way in Parker where we were watching at our son's house. I've never wanted a team to win as much as I wanted the Saints to win tonight.

River, It must be so exciting to be in LA. We heard on the BBC news on our ride home that NOLA was going to be partying for days. With the WIN and Mardi Gras, you have some huge days and nights ahead. I hope you keep us posted on the celebrations.

We're so happy!! Christy[from N.O.] and her sister[in N.O.] always talk during any Saints game and today wasn't different in that respect. I wrote in DLynn's thread what they did after the game, and just like Dlynns Mama said it was horns, fireworks and instant parades. For our celebration I broke out the box of Cafe DuMonde beignet mix that always comes with our XMas presents and whipped up a batch. Christy had hers with some chicory coffee. She was so excited, I've never seen her eat that many beignets. LOL>. I figured the carbs might help her sleep.

Glad most of those New Orleans people don't have to work tomorrow and there is no school. I'll bet after they party tonight a whole lot of them head out to the airport to wait for the team to come home.

Congratulations to the Saints! I didn't watch the game but hubby gave me the details. When he gave me the half time score, I thought our Colts had it in the bag. It must have been exciting for all the fans when the Saints turned it around.

Hey you NOLA's. So happy for you. Very cool. Congrats. I love saying Who Dat. A week ago I had never heard that phrase.

It wasn't wasted on me that CSI: Miami's theme song is from The Who but that halftime Show that won't go down as one of the best for sure!

I favorite commercial was Budweiser's baby Clydesdale and the baby bull.

My favorite commercial line was the Bud Light where the guy stays for the book club meeting because the ladies have Bud Light and at the end she says to him "so you like Little Women?" He says cluelessly "yeah, I'm not picky."

Congrats, Saint's fans. I confess. I changed channels too soon. The commercials were boring, it looked like the Colts were going to win, and what a disappointment The Who were! I was a big Who fan back when they were doing their thing, and when I saw they were going to do the halftime show, I was excited and surprised. I was hoping they had some new stuff. Instead, they rehashed the same stuff we've heard for years, and they can't quite hit those notes any more. It was just sad.

So, I woke up this morning and found out I missed the good part of the game, and I must have missed the good commercial. I always look forward to the clydesdale commercial, and when they hadn't had it by half time, I gave up, thinking they weren't going to do one this year. Oh, well.

I woke up this morning and literally had to pinch myself. Did they really win? We partied till 4:00am...I feel like a rock star today! People are still sleeping in the guest rooms...

I thought both teams played very well and think it's so sad that someone has to lose. Ummm, yeah right!

I didn't know Who Dat until yesterday, Ded, and I still don't know what the heck it means. Got a youtube Who Dat video with a beagle and that's the first I really paid attention to Who Dat.

I concur with Mustangs commercial favs! I also enjoyed the Bridgestone with the guys in the pickup with the whale in the back - that was some bachelor party :)

Congratulations to the Saints and all of their fans!! What a great game even though I was a little down after the first half. They sure did come back and take care of business in the second half though....that last turnover for the TD was great.

THe commercial were kind of blah to me but I did like the one with the lab and shock collar.

I have to say I was a little let down with Manning after the game. Taking off for the locker room without shaking hands/congratulating Brees was tacky IMHO!

I would have loved to have been on Bourbon Street last night.....all though we did okay on South 79th in Tulsa! LOL Still feeling the side effects today.

That was a schweeeeet game.

I just watched almost three hours of the parade celebration in New Orleans. CNN gave it wonderful coverage. I's great that the city has this to be proud and happy about.

I watched it too (and recorded it). I also watched it on ESPNnews, and online on the New Orleans TV station, and the Mississippi newspaper had live streaming online. I had my laptop, PC and TV all on to watch it. I'm homesick tonight :(

I'm always homesick during Mardi Gras, but this year is even worse --- I missed Lombardi Gras aka Dat Tuesday also!

Oh, we went to a La Tee Da Mardi Gras party the other night. I usually lock myself up in my house during Mardi Gras but this year is different for some reason. We have not slept a full night in 2 weeks. UGH!

This State is on FIRE!!!!

A Cajun who died went to hell.
The devil assigned him the usual punishment...put him in the mass pit where the heat was melting others. The devil came back sometime later surprised to find the Cajun just sitting around, not even misting, much less sweating. "How come you're not so much as sweating here where everyone else is screaming for relief from the heat?"
The Cajun laughed and said, "Man, I was raised in the bayous of Sout Looziana. Dis ain't nothin' but May in Morgan City to me!"
The devil decided to really put the Cajun through it. He put him in a sealed off cave in the pit with open blazes and four extra furnaces blasting. When he came back, days later, the Cajun was sitting pretty, had barely begun to bead up with sweat. The devil was outraged. "How is this possible!? You should be melted to a shrieking puddle in these conditions!."
The Cajun laughed even harder than before. "Hey, man! I done tole you. I was raised in Sout Looziana. You tink dis is heat?! Dis ain't nothin' but August in Cow Island !"

So the devil thought, 'Alright, a little reverse ought to do the trick.' He put the Cajun into a corner of hell where no heat ever reached. It was freezing and to add to the Cajun's misery, he added massive icebergs and blasting frozen air. When he returned, the Cajun was shivering, ice hung from every part of him but he was grinning like it was Christmas.
Exasperated, the devil asked "HOW!? How is it possible?! You're impervious to heat and here you sit in conditions you can't be used to...freezing cold and yet you're happier than if you were in heaven. WHY?!"
The Cajun kept grinning and asked, "Don't dis mean de Saints won da Super Bowl?"
