how to download pictures from your phone

my father has taken some pictures on his cell phone and wants to have me download them and print them... any suggestions on how or a website ect...

read the instructions for his cell phone.
usually an adapter to plug into your pc.

You will probably have to buy software from his cell phone provider. A USB connecting cable should come with the software. The kit, if bought from Alltel, is $69.00 but I bought mine at Wal Mart for about $25.00. The software allows transfer of pictures, sounds, contacts, and anything else your phone is capable of storing. Be sure the software is compatible with the brand of phone he has. They never tell you these things when you buy the phone. There may be a less expensive, easier way to do it, but if there is I don't kow about it.

I have my photos stored on Picasa web album, and here's how I upload my photos from Picasa to GW. 1 - I check that my albums are shared with "Limited, anyone with the link", if they're not Public; 2 - I open the photo that I want to upload; 3 - I look on the right side of the photo to locate "Link to this photo" and click on that; 4 - I high-light the codes in the box under "Embed image", then copy the codes; 5 - I return to my post on GW and paste the copied codes. hello all, You should check the cords you got with the cell phone. It should have one to attach to a USB port as someone mentioned. Then you just plug it in and find the photos to transfer over. I think you just make a file first or put it into My Pictures and go from there to whatever image editor you have installed. great selection found here.... This is evidently still an interesting topic. I almost never call my DS or DIL. I told them at the beginning of their marriage that I would love to hear from them -- whenever they want to call me. (I had an intrusive MIL.) They married one another, not me. With two grammar school age kids and work, they are BUSY. I only hope they have time to talk to one another! (DIL's family is not intrusive either.) DIL never calls me, but will sometimes email me. DS will call every 4 - 6 weeks. He sometimes uses speaker phone so we can chat with the whole family. DIL and I will chat for half an hour if *I* ask to speak with her individually. DH and I love to hear from them, but we have all the time in the world. They don't. It's good to have 'ties that bind' as long as the binding isn't a stranglehold.

My library just redid the whole website, adding a video to show people how to do the download. It explains that the system won't work with iPods because the books are Windows Media files. My DS gave me a new mp3 player as a Christmas gift, one with a larger capacity. It's rechargeable. However, a charge won't last the length of a book, and when I plug it back in to the USB hub to charge it, the book reverts to the beginning. So I'm back to using my first mp3 player, which runs on a battery and works just fine.

e-mail them to yourself. Where you put the number in to send, just type your e-mail address. That is all I do.

I have a friend who e-mails them to me directly from her phone. They are on a trip now and no computer in sight and she e-mailed me a picture...she was setting in her car one day and got bored and sent me a picture...so you must be able to send it directly from the phone to someone's e-mail address.
