Where in Vista do I find my Cache?

I am talking about the list of items so I can choose what I want to delete myself, not the general "clear cache" button.

Also, I was able to pick and save cookies, they didn't all have to be deleted at once. How can I do that with Vista?

do you mean temporary internet files ?

if so, it is located at: C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\

if you can not see them, do the following:
- Launch Windows Explorer
- click: Tools >> Folder Options >> View
- Select: Show hidden files and folders
- Deselect: Hide extensions for known file types
- Deselect: Hide protected operating system
  
  files
now you should see a bit more than you did rpreviously, but microsoft has hidden the actual Temp files even though we allowed viewing .... tricky microsoft, but if we copy and paste the following into the windows explorer location bar, you should see its content:

C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

dont forget to replace [your user name] with your actual windows username.

The most practical way to have the running tally is to use an e-commerce suite installed on the web server. It sets cookies necessary to do what you want. They run about $400 unless you pay a higher monthy hosting bill. Thats why I suggested an experienced web designer/mgr can set this up for you, possibly bypassing the need for added expense. Maybe you can find some cheapo shopping cart scripts or software too by doing a search.

You can post an ad online on Craigslist.com for Asheville, NC. to offer your cabinets for sale. Decide on the price you want(make it reasonable) and say they need to be taken down and hauled away by the buyer. This is how I bought my cabinets in Atlanta. The depth of burial must consider such factors as frost depth and prevailing geological conditions. In my region the frost depth is 30" and all lines must be a minimum of 6" below frost depth therefore our minimum depth is 36" and maximum is 48". In regards to pumping, i fail to see why so many people insist on annually pumping a septic tank. If the tank and leachfield are properly installed and functioning correctly the only time it should require pumping is when there is a buildup of non-digestible waste such as plastics which effects flow. In my region the need to pump septic tanks is so seldom that there is only one pumping truck in the county and it is currently for sale because of a lack of work. The septic tank at my mothers house was installed in 1965 and it has never been pumped.

On windows XP I use this method to clean up my computer.
You can pick and choose if you want.
Using Start - Run may work on Vista.

To clean out unwanted files and help speed up your computer.

Start - Control Panel - Internet Options open -
Delete cookies, Delete files (select all off-line content) - Clear History. Click OK to Exit.

Then go to Start - Run - Enter %temp% - Click OK - Click Edit - Click Select All - Delete.

Start - Run-
Enter - C:\windows\temp - OK - and select everything except temporary internet files, cookies and history folders and delete them.

Then Restart your computer.

1. deleting cookies does very little to speed up your computer and will require you to login manually to any sites you are a member of, and also will delete any site preferences stored in them. While it certainly hurts nothing, this can be a huge inconvenience. I manually delete cookies, saving the ones from the site i visit frequently. I do this about once every other month.
2. deleting all files in system temp caches (not to be confused with temp internet cache) can be disasterous to software upgrading and removal if they store uninstall files in there. Some software packages use system temps for uninstall and update/upgrade information. It is best to manually clean house in system temp directories/folders and remove nothing for software you currently use.
the best ways to make your computer run leaner and faster is to:
- clean and repair the system registry
- cut down on the un-needed programs and services that auto-start when you turn on windows
- defragment your hard drive
- virus scan to remove all malicious items
- spyware scan to remove all malicious items
- delete internet temp files
