Thanks Raven. I've spent some time looking at all of these and I'm not sure any of them will work for what I want. Lots of them capture video from Youtube, metacalfe, etc - but none of these mention capturing video from Hulu, or the major network's own sites. Two of them - video search and downloader and multimediawebrecorder might. At least their description and reviews don't rule out the possibility. And for the webrecorder one, folks mention it captures everything (of course, I don't know if they've tried the kind of shows I'm hoping to capture). So I've downloaded both and will experiment with them over the weekend. I already had downloadhelper - but it never helped with any of the sites I wanted. It has a long list of sites it works with - but there's no easy way to search other than scrolling through many, many sites- the majority of which mean nothing to me. Just doesn't seem very well organized - and it may just be outdated at this point. The MediaConvertor doesn't seem compatible with this latest version of Firefox. I'll report back if I have luck - but I'm not optimistic. Any other ideas still welcomed. Lynn.

click the icon when it comes up in your task bar and pin I'll attempt to do this. I finally got it up and opened Hulu using it. haven't had the problems watching hulu since watching it on Chrome. it was always freezing up with Win 10. I'll check out my settings for history. I've been pretty sick since mid week after my last eye appt. I was feeling pretty good taking the meds he had me on (they evidently knocked the inflammation in my body on it's butt) - but they ran out and it's been downhill for me since then. I've ordered some herb / natural things that do the same - at least until I get into my primary doc. But, I know the meds aren't something he'll probably give me a script for. it's not something a people should be taking. can lead to even worse things - and addiction. But, I had been feeling more like the old me (pre my sick days). today I went out to do 4 errands, before I was out the driveway, I knocked that down to 3. ended up doing 2 of them. will try to do the other 2 tomorrow. and I had to write a paper list for those 4 things or I knew I wouldn't remember them. i'm weak and shaky and my back is in pain - so i'm lying down a lot. started watching this show called Bones that I like but Hulu only had 2 seasons of it. I think it ran 12 seasons, so I need to find the first 10 of them. i'm going to try using Chrome for some of the other things I do online - it seems very basic to me. I knew something about the pasting things to the taskbar but it didn't click in my mind to do that. i'm going to give it a whirl so I can toggle between them if need be. Off to paste Chrome in place and check my history setting.

Hi Maria, Like Donna said, the bottom picture is what the seeds look like. Actually, there are two kinds of zinnia seeds, the petal seeds and the floret seeds. Some of each appear in that picture. The petal seeds have a part of the petal attached to them and the floret seeds have a kind of "notch" at that place. The top picture has a lot of chaff, which is composed primarily of a zinnia flower part aptly called "chaffy scales." You can tell if a zinnia seed contains a developed embryo or not by gently pinching it between your thumb and forefinger. That takes a little practice. You can also save zinnia seeds from live flower heads as green seeds -- that technique was discussed in the message thread Zinnia Seed Viability -- Zen_Man ? ZM

Olychick you can have a Roku TV (not a Roku stick). It is an interface sort of like an operating system similar to Windows/Apple for the TV as well as has streaming apps. It is an easy to use TV and available for good deals from both TCL and HiSense. Even if you can't stream now - We used to have the same speeds until we got Fiber recently. We were able to stream at times when the internet usage around us was low then having the TV to just be able to do it is helpful and you don't need the computer. Sometimes it would stop to buffer, but we were still able to watch albeit with a lesser quality picture and we'd be at less than 1Mbit/s 100% of the time. Actually you'll probably find that the TV might be better at playing your streaming content than your computer as it will use less bandwidth and adjust better most likely unless you use a specific app on your computer and then they should be equivalent if up the app is up to date. A Roku TV from HiSense or TCL for example will also plug in to the cable box and any other equipment you may wish to connect such as a DVD player. HDMI ports are good for this, but you will also be able to connect with regular old cables too. You could also just go and buy a digital antenna and pick up the regular broadcast channels as well. I believe the Roku TV's supports showing a TV guide and both HiSense and TCL allows you to use a USB stick to plug into the TV and record live TV onto it for a limited amount of time, but it allows it to work as a small DVR for broadcast TV.
