Any new printer from a mainstream manufacturer will have Win8 drivers available and fully compatible. I've no direct experience trying to find drivers for Win8, but of course it's the printer manufacturer that produces it and most typically don't bother to do updates for vintage or older models long past being sold. With previous Windows version changes, old version drivers sometimes worked, but maybe not in this case since Win 8 is so different from 7. Have you tried to use a Win 7 driver?

Hi GulfBreeze, Thanks for these extra tips. I checked out the Oriel windows styles. I like them, but we were planning on doing casements for our windows so I am not sure how they would blend with the other windows. Do you think they would? We have made sure many of our windows are lower to the floor. I think your idea of a simulated transom is cool! Can you elaborate a bit more on this idea (i.e. how much of the window would have a grid, what the grid lines would look like, etc) Currently our plan is to leave the grids off most windows. Having the two large windows that flank the french doors fitted with these grids for part of the window might give these two windows a special feature. We are certainly looking into quality windows -- Canada is cold. I appreciate your help! Carol

Yes. Thank you. I was going "in" the wrong door. Going through settings I do see go back to Windows 8.1. I only realized that win 7 was listed because I was in there for another reason and happened to see win 7. I actually do like 10 and so far no problems except one.. and, of course, right now, I can't remember the exact error message, but it is something about a license missing at start up....the license is for something with adk? no, that doesn't look right.... alright, found it through my history AMD Quick Stream error after upgrade to Windows 10- the license information to use this software is not found What does this mean? Honestly It has been so long since I've had any kind of problem that this error message makes me go UGH.... why did i upgrade to 10?? Course, I don't actually know that it is a problem, since i don't even know what it is, what it does, am I missing someting? am I going to have problems because of this message? If not, why the message? Thanks to both of you and I would appreciate any additional help with this if you can
