Ok...I just copied what it said I needed from the instructions. The installation from my old Dell was all on one disk. I'd be afraid I'd mess up the installation if it ended up on multiple CDs. Maybe I should say that there would be more chance for error on my part. The instructions also said that the USB key should have a minimum capacity of 8 GB. Well, when I go to Control Panel, I see there are 45 programs now with total space of 1.12 GB. So what gives with them saying I need a minimum of 8GB? I'm guessing that it would all go on one of the disks at the link below. About them...it says, "This recordable DVD features AccuCORE technology which is 100x more scratch resistant than standard discs. you will likely need flash and shockwave when visiting some sites that have video and animations and stuff like that. You can get flash and shockwave from their website. It is always best to get them directly from their website so you know you are getting the real thing and not a fake one and there are some out there. wow sorry I had never seen that I was asked a question and never answered it. I bought my pandigital novel at bed bath and beyond they can be bought at many locations which are listed on their website including Radio Shack and Kohl's. Mine ran me right at $100 with their 20% off coupon and a rebate. The one I have is the 7" white tablet. It is a full android tablet now with their latest update so you can access apps from the android market, you can surf, email, play your music, watch videos, youtube etc, pretty much everything you can do on a laptop. If you are familiar with any of the android phones it is very similar. I thought if I was going to pay over a hundred dollars for something I wanted it to do as much as possible not just be an ereader which is why I went with this PDN. The ereader part is excellent also and since you can now use android apps you can use the kindle app to read kindle books and the nook app, lots of ereader apps are available so you can choose the one you like best gives you lots of flexibility. It of course does have wifi connectivity which works great. We have had several very long threads about the PDN and ereaders over on the computer help forum, you can search the topic there and find much more. There are a lot of people on GW that got Pandigitals too. the lookbook reader I got at CVS pharmacy when they had them on for $49 it only does ereader functions and does color and have wifi and is linked with the kobo bookstore. http://www.pandigital.net/

"Devices" are different than personal computers, which is what most people own, unless you're considering a PC to be a device. But I think you're referring to Javascript - a completely different animal. Youtube uses either Flash or HTML5 - not Java. What program(s) - specifically - are you using that require Java ? I've had Java onboard for over 10 years, and have only had to use it once that I remember, for something very non-essential. I keep it blocked in the browser for security reasons, and have never had to unblock it - for youtube or anything else. If you're one of the few users that need it, then install it and keep it up to date, but it's not really in use anymore, if at all, so in general most security advisers recommend that people not install it. In addition, if you're going to install it, I would use a tool to block it in the browser until needed there - something like QuickJava for Firefox.
