Comments (105)Renee you must be overwhelmed with all of these comments. Your countertops are GORGEOUS, so I do hope you keep them. Sophie's suggestion to stain the floors is well worth looking into. For what it is worth my suggestion for your backsplash is to go with a simple solid tile in a lighter color that coordinates with the countertop. I would suggest you not go too small with the tile- 3x6 to 4x12 would be a good size to stick with. You want to avoid too much movement in the backsplash as the counter (and the floor) have quite a bit of movement and you do not want them competing. Let the countertop be the star of the show. Good luck and let us know how it all ends up for you....See MoreDesign around buffet turned vanity
Comments (24)yes,,the fireclay is amazing. i made a few changes to your boardno 4" spread faucet. doesn't work w/your style/size vanity. (the bowl sits too high) vessel sink faucet or the wall mount faucet. The sink I picked is a handmade ceramic from here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/227066049/custom-handmade-pottery-vessel-sink I like the looks better than the 'hat box style'. I stuck in some lighter gray porcelain and a cement tile in a terrazzo finish, soft aqua and white. here's the other board with a few modifications. vessel faucets in a dark bronze and a copper finish, a glazed ceramic vessel sink w/bits of green glazing (same etsy shop) . upper right is Ming Green marble subway tile and lower left, ming green and white marble. you could use that on the floor, and the ming green above the vanity. Or, use the black tiles on the floor (CleTile, cement in the scallop design) and any of the others behind vanity. you could also do a black or charcoal hex tile, or penny rounds, marble, etc. they even have a black quartz terrazzo-like tile. Tilebar.com carries them. https://www.etsy.com/listing/508154415/12-to-16-handmade-white-gray-pottery?ref=related-7...See MoreWhat color paint wall goes with crackled grey tile?
Comments (116)I did not read many posts. Did anyone comment that your tiles look like there is a lavender cast to them? I see that especially when you have it up against some of the greenish grays above, like the "Light Pewter". It is not the direction I would take the paint. If you go with blackish vanity be sure it is not a greenish black, but one with more purple in the undertones, IMHO. I think the navy with a bit on the reddish side would look nice, not a tealish navy, again IMHO. with the walls I'd try a very light, white rendition of the vanity color. I think it will need to have a hint of lavender....See MoreUser
