@ PupillaCharites & happy_fl_gardener - fascinating thread, thanks! I was taken by surprise at a Spring Garden show where TG had a booth - I fell for it! But I'm not disappointed as I'm having fun with it. I come to realize that I really have a keen interest in growing plants, ones I can eat especially, and now have a complete fascination with hydroponics as a growing system, so I came here to learn. Its time I start thinking about buying more Tonic and like others, I'm looking for an alternative b/c Yes, the TG tonic seems expensive and I get the feeling I can find an alternative. My goal is to build some of my own designed hydroponic units just for fun. But the immediate goal is to find a alternative feed before I head out of town for a few weeks and have to leave my husband with the TG which is currently loaded with veggies. There's a LOT to look up here - many recommendations so I'm going to check them out today and determine whether or not I have time to get my hands on these and do what I need to over the next few days. If I don't, I'll have to resort to going back to TG for the tonic but I'm pretty sure it will be the last time. NOT at all slamming the system or the company - it was expensive but I am having fun with it. I bought it for fun and not as a way to make money. I'm a boring banker and certainly don't need to get involved in MLM. Tx again everyone. I'm going to enter my link here. I agree with you and so what I did was start a blog to track my experience with the TG as well as other crazy challenges I'm having living on a lot full of clay. As an FYI - I am almost out of the complete hydroponic beginner category at the moment. But what a blast I'm having with all the ideas I'm getting from all the hydroponic literature I've been reading. If I had a HUGE aquarium I could use fish poop as a fertilizer like they do at Epcot! I have a gmail account but don't use it and no one has the address. I go in every once in a while just to check and clear stuff out of the junk folder. Haven't been in before Christmas and I have an email from google showing me people on google I may know and I do know them but like you use another address for all these people. Also I have a ton of newsletters from a crochet site that I just realized I was not getting in my main address on aol anymore and all of a sudden I see all the news letters I have been missing showing up at the gmail address and I never once changed that I wanted the news letters to go to gmail so something must be going on with gmail because I don't give that address out so how this news letter suddenly changed over I have no clue. They started coming into gmail beginning of January. Mary

System secure? Absolutely. Scared of the dark? Never. Quality protection? Priceless. Experienced members are just that, experienced. They know how to obtain and how to ferret through material to make an informed decision. This forum has members like any other forum who are minimally experienced users and newbies who already want to scan for this and scan for that everyday. They want to scan in the morning. They want to scan at night. Some want to run two anti-virus applications. If their system burps they go on line and do a "free" scan. They want to restore or reinstall because they think they have something malicious. It's not that they are paranoid, they are just concerned in protecting their systems and inexperienced in doing so. God knows we were all in their position at one time, and still are in some categories. I couldn't tell you anything about .html as I have never had a desire to study it so in that vein after all these years I am still a newbie. As experienced members it is our responsibility to when asked clarify, teach, and suggest regarding all phases of computering. It is not for us to contribute to their fear. I read a lot and I am quite comfortable in reporting I have heard a recommendation to scan daily for malicious 'ware only once before. Does that make me right? Of course not. However, it does comment on the need. I wish I could give the member his/her due as I am quoting but unfortunately I don't remember who posted " ...the best anti virus protection is in between your ears..." I expand this thought to 'ware protection. DA
