Finding Flash player--

I am trying to view something on youtube and it tells me I need to update my flash player. How can I find which version I have now?

Right click your Flash Player - Left Click Properies - Find Target -
Let your pointer hover over your target - It will tell you your File Version.

Thanks for your reply. I don't see any f-player to click on. I deleted my Adobe program and got a new reader called foxit. Did I lose the F_P when I lost the Adobe? Is there a F-P than doesn't have the extra stuff(yahoo toolbar-Google Tbar, etc.? Any suggustions, advice here?

DA, watch that thinking while eating lunch...it's bad for the digestion! However it is much appreciated. Below are the answers to your questions. 1. Have you tried FF bare boned with not add-ons to see if this occurs? Ans. Yes 2. Have you tried a prior version of FF? Ans, Yes, just a few minutes ago. I un-installed ver 11.0 and installed the older 10.0.2 in it's place. I also un-installed Flash Player and re-installed that again. ...still the same results after shutting down and re-starting! 3. Many thanks, Randy. I tried to get the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. But it said that Netscape was running and it needed to update some of the files which were in use. Netscape was NOT running! At least not that I could see. But I am quite willing to go right click on the Netscape (Communicator?) icon on my desktop and get rid of it. That WILL get rid of it, right?

Indeed there is a way. When the image you want is onscreen simply tap the 'Print Screen' (PRN SCRN sometimes) button. Now open your photo editing program, click Edit, click Paste and you have the full screen visible. On some programs you can right click and paste the image, each has their own peculiarity. Now use your resizing or crop tool to remove the bits you do now want then save the image. If I am saving for wallpaper I always elect to save as bitmap (.bmp) because it is a higher quality image than using .jpg There are free screen capture programs out there that will catch a specific frame but I find that is as easy as anything and I do not need to remember how to work another program.

Yes, PK, I made sure when I got new computer that tech installed the paid version of Adobe, and am glad I did. I got a surprise visit from him one day shortly after I wrote the forum, and he straightened things out for me. I was unable to actually see what he did, cuz the phone rang, and while I was answering, he finished up, waved and left. Not that I am crying about it, just wish I had known what I might have done, and what to do to repair it. Just hoping now, that I don't update ANYTHING and goof up the machine again. So far, so good, back to business of making pdf's, and making progress in the batch that was left waiting for me. Thanks for your interest, appreciate so much all inquiries.

Fredda, here is the URL for the latest version of Flash Player. I don't think you get any junk with it.

Thanks grandms, for the link. I was fooling around with that y-day and I guess it worked as it shows that I now have 9activeX in add/remove.

Make sure you 'uncheck' the Google Toolbar on that link. Sneaky, they stick it in everything. Very annoying,
