Refrigerator recalls--Liebherr and Fagor
Comments (6)displaying a "normal" brand name, has never flinched in six years (and counting). Some of you graspers need to ask yourselves why you're buying a name instead of an appliance, next time. What some of the crap cheerleaders need to ask yourselves is "Does my crappy brand have a better rate of repair?" One data point means nothing. Nothing made by humans is perfect. It is how a company reacts to problems. Another question the crap cheerleaders need to as is "Why do I feel the need to post in a Liebherr/Fagor thread about how great my non-Liebherr/Fagor fridge peforms?" and "Does my crappy brand fridge have the same features as Liebherr?"...See Moreblomberg vs Liebherr refrigerators
Comments (8)I don't think Blomberg refrigerators are available in U.S.A., but I went to their website and they had a Canada/U.S.A site, I think only the dishwashers are being imported. Interestingly most of their refrigerators were 24" and I think one was 27.5 inches wide. Most were not dual compressors, some have electronic controls and a few were frost free. The 30" Liebherr seems to have the best specs and a good reputation. The Bluestar range has the best cooktop burners....See MoreLiebherr Refrigerator
Comments (104)The thing is, their website clearly documents that the doors should close automatically, so if they were to say just live with it, why not just take them to small claims court and sue them? It seems so cut and dry that I'm very tempted to do this by the Fall if no fix is made available. Unlike most people who bought this refrigerator, I actually did buy it almost solely because of the automatic closing doors. Stupid me. :) Of course I'm going to ask them for a refund first, but this is just ridiculous. It's great that they're trying for a fix, but even when I spoke to them back in October they swore they had a fix for the problem. And every month after that they swore that a fix was right around the corner. I'll be the first one to congratulate them if this so-called fix works, but I'm also going to be one of the first to take them to court to get this resolved one way or the other if it does not....See MoreRefrigerator suggestions to replace 30" Liebherr
Comments (0)Some years ago (see yoyopa posts 4 Liebherr), I made the mistake of buying a Liebherr. Long story short: no ice for years and plenty of problems never sufficiently addressed by Liebherr. We have custom cabinets that we do not want to pull out simply to replace that lemon. Therefore, I need a 30" w, 84" h and 24" depth refrigerator. I found that Miele, Bosch, Thermidor & SubZero fulfill those requirements. I'll have to have an installer verify the fit. But assuming all of the aforementioned will fit, which is the best of the lot? PLEASE do NOT suggest buying a Liebherr again....See MoreUser
