Emailing a Power Point presentation

Would someone be able to tell me if there is a way to email a PP presentation, and do I need to make it smaller? If so how do I go about doing this? Step-by-step instructions will be greatly appreciated! (We have Microsoft Office)

FYI: one email program that will accept .exe files is Yahoo.

I exchange powerpoint (Microsoft) presentation on a regular basis, one simply attaches them to the email, however your email client handles that. All email clients (support programs) I've use provides for attaching files. I see no reason to be concerned about the size, here I assume the file in no more than a few megabytes, that's a very large presentation. These files are usually large enough to make one wait a few minutes for the download if they are using dial-up, if cable or DSL ..the wait is much less, not problem in either case in my view.

Reset your user preferences to the default values by using Firefox Safe Mode. This will rebuild the prefs.js file from program defaults, the same as if you manually deleted the file. Nice idea which I might steal when selling my farm next year. Part of the joy of living in the country is being close to nature's ever-changing beauty. What better way to capture that flora and fauna than through a photo essay? But, Paul, since you seem so computer savvy, why not create a personal website specifically for selling your property? I intend on doing so, listing on the local MLS via a flatfee service. There have been many discussions about this technique, so I won't elaborate. If you've got the time, it may worth considering.

I just saw something interesting about PowerPoint for E-learning in a report by Brandon Hall Research. The report says that PowerPoint has become a popular e-learning content development tool. The effectiveness and easy Â¨Cto- use of PowerPoint together with third party tools seems to make the idea to develop e-learning with PowerPoint work. There are many types of third party tools compatible with PowerPoint. One of them is a conversion application to convert PowerPoint to flash. Why? Well I have been waiting for over 8 hours to send a PowerPoint email out because it is over 6 megs in size. My ISP allows them in but will not send them. Six megs is the limit with some providers but most PPS files are smaller than that.

If the recipient does not have Microsoft Office they can download the free PowerPoint Viewer from Microsoft so they are ale to view the show. There are some excellent PowerPoint emails out there.

I can understand why an ISP (all ISPs) would consider setting a maximum size for a given email. I note too that 6 Mbytes is a big powerpoint file, but suppose I've received some that size, don't recall. With Dial-Up that would take at least 30 minutes to download I estimate.

I see the size limit as a method to limit damage from those who would try to overload the Internet by sending very large files to "everyone".
