Windows Back up does not work

Windows back up will not work on my Windows 7 desktop. It worked up until Jan of this year and since then it will not finish a back up job. Any ideas?

Does this kitchen window treatment work?

    Q

    Comments (50)
The curtain is mounted on the little square corner pieces of the window's trim, but in the picture it does appear to be on the wood valance. I'm thinking I do need some kind of window treatment. As you walk closer to the sink, without the fabric, you will see the back panel on the wall that was made to cover a flaw in the wall and then a small gap between that and the top of the window's trim which becomes even more noticeable, too, as you get closer to it and that's what I really don't like so I thought a window treatment would help to disguise that. I have it pulled straight across without the gathering and I'm thinking I do like it that way better-regardless of what hubby thinks. I will put it up higher though I've concluded....mount it above the window and have it hang not quite so low on the window and then it will cover that small gap, too. Still undecided on the pattern of fabric yet. I do have a lot varying opinions, but I really appreciate all the ideas. Will post pictures when I make up my mind

Disadvantages sofa backed up to a window?

Anele........I hear ya! We moved from CT to AZ. Wildly different architecture. We loved all the openness of the windows on the back of the house facing the backyard and the pool. So what did we do?? DUH we bought wood blinds and covered every window. Down the road we realized that due to the block walls, we could not see a blessed thing in any of the neighbors' yards/houses .....and they surely couldn't see us either. So we took down all the blinds except ones in bedroom where we needed them to block light. Expensive mistake but that's life. Sitting here now just relishing the unobstructed view of the swaying palms. Life is good!! Shutters are on windows on the front of the house facing our courtyard so that works well and they are very pretty. But I can see how that would not have worked for you.

Does Houndstooth print work on tufted back chairs?

    Q

I am not sure why a print would not work; it would just be more difficult for matching, require more fabric for drop-match and more time consumption of button-covering. Houndstooth or any small print/check, etc., should be very easy to work with.

    Win7 Backup- Error. (0x80070002)

This works for some, however it involves going directly in to the Windows registry, I don't send users into the registry. Can someone knowledgeable help you to try this?

"This problem is due to one or more profiles under

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList with missing ProfileImagePath.

To check whether you have missing profiles:

1.Open regedit, navigate to the above registry key. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList). Expand the list

2.Click on each of the profiles listed. The first 3 profiles should have ProfileImagePath value of

    %SystemRoot%\System32\Config\SystemProfile, %SystemRoot%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService, and %SystemRoot%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService respectively."

See link for additional information on this.

I agree and that's why I asked for this information.

    Partitions:

1 Drive c: (HP) (Fixed) (Total:286.05 GB) (Free:225.01 GB) NTFS

    2 Drive d: (FACTORY_IMAGE) (Fixed) (Total:11.94 GB) (Free:2.18 GB) NTFS

User states: It worked up until Jan of this year So whatever account used it did work.

Wonder if a windows up-date caused an issue????

    Have you tried Windows repair?
    Click Start
    click Control panel
click 'Find and fix problems' under the System and security header
click Fix problems with Windows Update
    and/or click Check performance issues.

Failing that I might run System file Checker. Here is a short tutorial from sevenforums

I assume you are running a full back up and not an incremental one? Not sure an incremental back up would work with DVDs but worth commenting on just in case.

I had a similar problem with Windows 7 backup. It wouldn't complete and there were lots of error messages. Luckily I had a Windows "Backup and Restore" image of my hard drive saved on an external drive. After Windows replaced damaged system files, everything went back to normal.
