Question about AVAST!

I have been using Avast AV for several years and have been well-pleased with it. However, it does seem to come up with false positives occasionally, and that's what I think happened last night.

While scanning via the screensaver mode, it found this:

Win 32: Trojan-gen (Other) Virus/Worm

VPS Version 090325-0, 03/25/2009

It found this in two places: in Partition D (recovery) it found a number, all in installation apps for games that HP/Compaq puts on their computers. How could a virus possibly infect Partition D?

In Partition C: it found the same, but in the uninstall apps for these games.

I put all in the vault. Today I deleted Partition D, since I have the recovery information on both DVDs and CDs, made when the computer was new.

This computer is 5 years old, so I really think this is a false positive. Now to my question:

How can I access the Vault to see these files, and is it possible to restore them? What will happen if I try to uninstall these games that came on my machine, since the uninstall file is now in the Avast vault?

HP a1130n running Win XP Media Center Ed 2005, SP3
