Mona, I bought one full price in the beginning of the year and gave it to one of my daughters. Much too complicated for me. OOps, sorry, it was elements 6. I use two. I use the OLD Adobe Photo Deluxe for sizing. I can trim and size ( in pixels ) in a flash. I also use Kodak Photo Impressions. I likr that too!! You did get a good bargain. Elements doesn't crop the way a photo program does. Instead you want to open the image you want to crop and open a new image the same resolution. Then use the Marquee Selection Tool. It's the tool that is at the top left of the tool pallet. It has a square or an elipse. With that tool make a shape around the area you want to keep. Leave it selected (marching ants). Then go to Edit, Copy. then paste it into the New image.

Thanks. I don't have REVO. Have noticed things about it in one of the computer magazines I get, so maybe this is the time for me to do something about that. But will it work even though REVO has been installed after the offending program?

I'm not a pro but once I had been using adobe Photoshop cs6 and had to temporarily use elements I found photo tampering no longer fun. IâÂÂm not saying Elements is a bad program; Elements is a great program. But CS6 is an awe inspiring program with endless capabilities! Yup the catch is itâÂÂs also $800+ Most of us incl. myself can't afford. The good news is they have what is called the student / teacher edition thatâÂÂs identical in every way but the price tag. So if you (or family member) are currently enrolled or employed (not just teachers) at any university just follow my link or give them a call they are very nice.
