The paint used was probably iridescent or pearlized acrylic paint. Don't know what happened to the link I posted above. I use a damp pile of sand in a shallow box. Some people lay a clear piece of plastic (dry cleaner bag) over the sand. Place leaf with the back of the leaf facing up on the sand mound. Shape sand the way you want the final shape of the leaf. Remember you are working in reverse, so if you want the tip of the leaf to point down the damp sand at the tip of the leaf has to point up. When you place the mix on the back of the leaf start in the middle, down the center vein, and pat the mix to move it toward the edge. Depending on the size of the leaf you can put down one layer, lay down a layer of mesh tape that they use for dry wall, then add another layer of QuikWall.

I was just thinking about this and the problem with tying the knots in the right places. What if you cut peices of pvc pipe to use as spacers and ran one continuous peice of rope or wire or even all thread with nuts at the bottom to and the top. That would make the limb a little less floppy and easier to space the pots more consistently. I might have to move this further up the to do list. I was planning something more involved, but I'm thinking I may have to hold off until things cool down outside and now there's another storm that could maybe, have a remote possibility of becoming a hurricane that could possibly maybe head our way so DH is strongly encouraging me to not have a large project underway.

Little red gem has been in our z5 garden several years. It requires no attention other than some manure compost once a year. It is a small mound, maybe 1 ft x 1 ft. gets some shade.so foliage stays attractive into late fall.

Somene just gave me a Bene Casa electric pressure cooker but she's lost the directions. I've looked on line but can't find it anywhere. I know how to use a regular pressure cooker, but I'm wondering if this might be a little different. It has presets such as Meat/Chicken, Soup, Rice, Porridge (?), Beans. She said you press the one you need and wait for a green light then place the ingredients in the cooker. It automatically turns itself off. Anyone have one or have some suggestions?
