information bubble...

XP

Dell 4600

Every once in a while, I have problems with my network and it shows that a cable is unhooked. Sometimes in takes a while to get it working again. (usually a shutdown, power off to everything will solve the problem, but that's not working this morning.) But in the mean time, this stupid bubble keeps popping up EVERY 3 seconds. Usually it will just popup once. Now, if I close it out or ignore it, it keeps popping up.(The constant popping up just started this morning)

Of course, I can shut down the 2nd computer and it goes away. But I have a KVM switch and occasionally work on both computers without needing to be networked. I don't have to solve the network problem right now, but would just like to get rid of this darned bubble popping up.

If memory serves me, there is a way to shut off these bubbles. I've tried the folder options and that doesn't help.

Thanks for any help
