So now that router is set up i have a couple questions

i went through the setup last night of a new router and it recommended the WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA2-PSK (AES) so that is what i chose. ( is this ok?) I also created a name for the wireless network and strong passphrase. I have the router wired to my new desktop which is not wireless enabled at this point, and was able to connect successfully wirelessly with my laptop and ipod touch. I am curious now how do i do anything with the router? Isn't there somewhere i can go to check my settings, change passwords etc, on the router or what if i ever decide to switch to a different one, how do i get this one off, or do i simply unplug and disconnect it? i don't see any icons or anything anywhere, and also how do i know if i am secure? Do i just check the settings when i log in on my laptop or what do i do?

I don't know if they are male or female. I googled it and attempted to find out but I'm still not real sure. My guess is they are both males. The new platy is a little bit bigger, but it's being picked on by the platy we already had. I kept the bigger platy in the net at the top of the tank overnight and just now let him out this a.m. And the smaller platy went right bak to chasing him around the tank. He doesn't quit either, continuously chasing it back and forth. This is just a 10 gallon tank. There aren't many decorations in it, but I could try rearranging them. He seems to chase him, wherever he's at. I don't have another tank to put one of them in. If this is going to happen with whatever fish I put in there, then I almost should get rid of the small, aggressive one, not the new one. What do you think?

Hi, I'm new on here, But I've been growing Iris for over 12 years I have over 18 Colors. I live in Wyoming and was always taught when splitting them to cut the leaves back to 3 inches, and I'm sorry they stop blooming when they are rhizon bound. You just dig them up in the fall cut em back and replant. If in really bad shape it will take up to 2 years to see blooms again, extra plants can always find a new home. I have a waiting list from my beds. BUT they will all rebloom.

Thanks everyone. I cleaned the computer (as much as I can right now, will probably remove more later), installed the recommended anti-spyware tools, installed Avast and Firefox, and turned on Windows Defender and Windows FW. Now I'm trying to set up the wireless connection which is giving me trouble. We have a wireless router and the set-up on the laptop is asking me for a security passkey which doesn't seem to be the same as our router password or any other password or security key we've been given. We have a router password. The Router documentation says to provide the SSID and WEP numbers during the set-up, yet it seems to ask only for the WEP. So, I seem to be stalled for the night.

This isn't that hard to figure out. Go to Staples and buy a several sheets of poster board. Put them up and overlap them to create the different sized squares and rectangles you are considering. Take a photo of each mock-up size. Which one looks more pleasing to the eye and fits the space best?

Most routers today have a setup utility to make it easier to get the router up and running. From what you describe, it sounds like you did all the right things. To access the router itself you use your internet browser and type in the routers IP address. An IP address is nothing more than a series of numbers that identify the location of a device on a network. It's something like 192.168.0.1 but it needs to be exactly right or your computer won't be able to find the router. Check the documentation that came with the router.

From there you'll get a log-on screen. Depending on the brand the user name will be blank or something like admin or administrator. The default password is typically "password" or the brand of router. Again check the router's documentation.

From there you'll find more settings that you can possibly use. :-)

sorry i sent a message via my blackberry but i see it didn't go through. thank you so much for the help. the brand is netgear. i haven't had a chance to try anything yet but will by this weekend.
