Mine has done that a couple if times. After i checked and made sure the ink cartridge was seated right i unplugged the printer and left it that way for a short time. When i plugged it back in, it worked.

No idea of the price of that printer model but I would consider taking it to be repaired as a very long shot. These folks charge somewhere around $75 per hour. You can buy a new printer for that money.

I had problems over the last 3 months with both my HP and Lexmark printers. Try removing either or both of the power cord and the USB connection. Probably the USB cord will do more but I cannot remember now. Patches makes the same suggestion above and Randy offered this to another poster recently.

I didn't mean to leave the board and not update but I lost my ISP service Monday morning and still don't have it back (a snow issue). I am using my daughter's computer and just wanted to thank you both and let you know I have the printer back in working order..........Jeanie
