I hope you aren't in too much pain. Especially since you have that beautifully decorated house to enjoy.

Those pictures are beautiful. They have quite a Santa collection, don't they? I kind of like the wierd white tree, too. Did you notice the pretty lit glass cabinet on the right in the second picture? I sure could use that for my ever growing dish obsess.... I mean collection! LOL

SusieRose, I can't quite make out exactly what he is on the hearth. My daughter told me about a Nutcracker collection that she couldn't get photos of!! Arrgghh. Too many people crowded around it. She said this lady does all her own decorating, and also does it FAST according to her MIL. And never the same from year to year. She just hauls stuff out and starts at it. WOW.
Talent and Energy! Those hanging red ornaments are what got my attention, love that idea! Wish I had seen the house in person. Wish my DD could have gotten a LOT more photos. I do have a few in our inspiration album, two of her bathrooms and an upside down tree.

Betty, thank you for your kind thoughts. I rarely can go to bed before 3am. And wake up every hour or two. Pain is always the worst when I try to sleep. So I'm usually here at all hours of the night, LOL. If only I didn't have to get up in the mornings, I'd actually sleep good THEN. Darn alarm clock is NOT my friend. My dad and the dogs are probably the only reason I get out of bed each day! (DH is at golf course, LOL).

I'll be the dissenting voice--I think it's too much. Individually, everything is beautiful but collectively it looks like the Christmas decor showroom at the fancy garden center/florist near me, not like a home.

But maybe I'm just tired from a day filled with running errands and traffic.

Karen, that's incredible decorating and I'm saving these pics so I don't forget about those hanging deco's! I love those red deco's hanging from the ceiling and might do that next year. I had a look at your new pics in the album and had a laugh when I saw one of the signs. I found one saying the same thing at a yard sale - link posted! LOL Love that sign.

The bar next to my office hung ornaments from the ceiling. They hung for 12 hours and it looks good.

lovesummer, it is over-the-top decor. Tho I saw other photos around the house and most of the home has a beautiful, warm look that seems comfortable (along with RICH, LOL). This lady does the Holiday Home Tour each year, so I guess that's one reason her decorating is so extensive. Tho obviously she loves Christmas stuff. Her living-room has a LOT going on, other living areas weren't anything like that tho. Here's one of her bathrooms, I sure like how she used giant ornament balls on her garland.
I never would have thought of doing that.

LG, I love signs and sayings and quotes. They are always so funny because they are usually true too. I save them and folks are always sending me more. My very favorite of many years is "I'd take a tranquilizer if I could get my teeth unclenched". LOL.

Hope you're doing better in the pain dept. I can relate to the late hrs and little sleep. In fact that's why I'm posting at this time...my usual hours. Then I'm up early AM just to escape being in bed...
Too bad we're not neighbors...we could get into serious trouble during these hours!! LOL

Wow! Thanks for sharing. It's such fun to see how other people do things. I love the effect of the red ornaments hanging from the ceiling and (although I wouldn't want it to be my only Christmas tree) I like the look of stark silver white tree.

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures. I was also taken with the hanging ornaments. Does your daughter know how the string (wire? fishline?) was attached to the ceiling? I'd love to do this next year, but am concerned about attaching the string to the ceiling. Just taping it would look messy, but putting in a nail would mar the plaster. Anyway, could you please check with your daughter when it's convenient?

It looks like it might be expensive to do, as I bet those hanging ornaments are bigger than average. What do you think?
