Before I show the next table, I forgot to post this picture from the last tablesetting. I think the picture came out

nice.

Now, as promised, This DEFINITELY is my LAST Fall Table..

'Scout's Honor'... (I was a Scout Leader) and my word is Good!!

I know...your saying ... 'Oh Geesh These Dishes AGAIN' !

I'm just showing you all the different looks you can achieve, using the same dishes..just adding different accessories....(at least I think so) lol

The leaf dishes were from CTS $1.29.

I'm looking for more.

The placemats are from CTS. $1.99. The pattern is a nice embroidered leaf design.

The S&Ps - CTS $1.29 ea.

The Salad Plates - Big Lots, when I was in FL last yr -

On clearance $.50 ea.

So now I'll be true to my word...I done and

Jane, everything looks beautiful. I love the placemats, your white plates and of course the pumpkin bowls. Your centerpiece is lovely too. I always particularly enjoy the candlelight pictures. - Gail

That's nice... an entire morning's worth of posts are gone. I responded to Mary's query earlier, and now, it's not here. What I basically said was... I never used the words "thrive" and "pot bound" in the same sentence... and I never would. Mary said "thrive". Pot bound roots are not conducive to a healthy, thriving plant. Sure, some plants have evolved to grow in tight spots... but not the majority of those we call "houseplants", and stuff into confining containers to grow. Ask yourselves why a plant blooms when it becomes pot bound... what is the scientific reason behind it? Why do pot bound plants offset, or produce flowers, or stolons... or any other way they have to reproduce? Why? What causes that reaction? It's simple. Logic tells me that when a plant is threatened with potential demise, it will rush to reproduce. The core goal of any living thing is to procreate, to reproduce so its genetic material is carried forward, in its progeny. When the roots of a potted plant become too crowded for the space it's in, the plant feels stressed. It immediately begins preparing to die, and this includes procreating before it expires, or before it loses the energy to do so. If a plant is not pot bound, it will still bloom. It will still produce offsets or stolons, or whatever... it has a genetically ingrained blooming schedule. As long as all the cultural conditions are right, the plant will bloom exactly as it should, exactly when it should. By forcing a plant to be pot bound, what you're doing is actually stressing the plant into procreation/reproduction. You're forcing it to procreate out of its normal genetically pre-programed schedule. There are many half truths and fallacies floating around the gardening world... most of them can be dispelled by finding out why and how plants do what they do... most of it is very elementary scientific information.

Karen, thanks for storing and posting all the pics that you share. I really enjoy going back and looking at them all the time.I am trying to get some motivation back to do something. Seems like it and my energy has just dissapeared, Was in Michaels today and bought some of the black glitter spray and thought I would redo some of my little Christmas village pieces for haloween like the ones on Pintrest. I think Grayson would enjoy helping me do that.I also picked up a pair of black and orange striped socks, going to try to do something witchy with them, just haven't decided what.I went in Tusday Morning and they had some summer stuff on sale, 90% off, I got 4 anchor desert or salad plates, a matching dip bowl with a spreader and 2 different sets of 4 placemats priced @ $9,99 for just a little over $5.. I"m definately one of those people that it doesn't take much to make happy. Maybe a little better storage system.......

Jane, just read your post about your "RASH". I surely hope it is not the shingles. I wouldn't wish what I have been through this past month on anybody. Too start with, I had a terrible ache in my lower back. It had been so rain and damp that I just attributed it to arthertis. After about a week, I decided that I needed to see a Dr. They done a uranalius and said I dhad a UTI. and gave me antibotics for it. Then a few nights later I woke up with such awful pain that I couldn't get eased any way that I went to the ER. They thought I had a kidney stone and I went upstairs for a scan, which didn't show any stones but diverticulitus. I was given intravanious pain med and more antibotics and sent home. After a week of antibotics and strong nartocic pain meds, I was back in the Er ... another pain shot and more antibotics.. The next Mon I had to go back to my FP for another Uranalis and told the nurse that my hip felt so strange. like it was numb, She said to let her take a look, and said did you realize that you were breaking out in a rash on the right side of my back. Nooo.....I can't see the right side of my back and it didn't itch, just hurt. Well, she said YOU HAVE GOT THE SHINGLES!!!!. Then I got antivirals, which didn't help much because they are supposed to be taken early on and I wasn't diagnoised until I all ready had a full blown case. I am just starting to feel like I want to live again. Haven't felt like doing anything. Swept the kitchen this morn and just broke out in a cold sweat. I haven't done any decorating ,let alone any house cleaning. Guess halloween will just have to pass me by this year. Is your rash confined to one side or all over. They told me shingles usurally just affected one side of your body, but you cold have them anywhere, from one side of your head to one foot. Sure hope that's not what you are getting. They did tell me in the ER that it seemed like fall was when they saw more cases of the shingles. Many thanks to you all for your kind words! Kathleen, the glasses are part of the crystal we got when we were married, almost 26 years ago. I love the pattern and am always happy when I can use it. Superchick, you're in NM, too? How wonderful! What part? Sheesharee: I got the runner several years ago. Can't remember where, as I have many of them. I'm a bargain hunter, though, so it had to be at Marshalls or TJMaxx, etc. Karen, I'm honored that you think it's nice enough for our Inspirations album. DD, I was thinking about the placemat situation, too. Just today I saw Slinkey's Thanksgiving table and got inspired. I love her lace placemats and think they'd work perfectly for my own table. Especially if they were in an ecru. If I can't find them like that I can tea-dye white ones. I love the inspiration I get here! Lynn

WOW Jane, you've been on a table setting rampage, and ALL very beautiful! Like all the other gals, I love looking at pictures, and you can NEVER post too many. Keep 'em coming. ;o)

By the way, where did you get the white 'pumpkin soup' pumpkins? They really add a nice touch to your table.

I did get carried away with Fall tables this year..lol
I think because I knew I would be putting up Christmas decos early, and really didn't want to miss out on Fall/Thanksgiving. Now, it's out of my system, and I'm ready to move on!!

Jane, this is beautiful with the white, gold and burgundy together! A nice change from the sometimes "loud" colours of fall/Thanksgiving. Those pumpkin bowls are just gorgeous! I'm ready to move on towards Christmas decor too...if only I didn't have to start hauling up all those tubs from the basement!

Jane, these are beautiful. The little leaf dishes are just the right size, and I like how you used them in the first pic as a tealight holder. It is all lovely -- you really found some pretty salad plates at Big Lots, and such a bargain.

I do have one problem with your post. Please don't tell us this is your final fall table setting. I always enjoy seeing the different settings.

That is lovely! And I have never seen the leaf plates that match our pumpkins at CTS..I would get some too.

DD.. I thought the using the burgundy color as an accent was a nice change with all the white. In person, it really brought out that color from the leaves in the centerpiece.

Lee...I love those little leaf dishes..such nice detail and so delicate too.
I'm afraid this IS the last of the 'Fall' till next year.
But thanks for wanting more.

Kathleen...I bought them last year.
I'm surprised you havn't seen them.
So many times, I passed them up. I was lucky to get the two!! Shows how fast you have to act when you see somthing you like at CTS.

Your first picture is wonderful. Nice photography skills. The other pictures of the new tablescape is stunning as usual. I really like using red for a different fall look.

Those placemats are neat and show off your setting nicely. I really like that second picture from the bottom. You should contact some magazines and strut your stuff. How's that for a turkey statement?

Jane, You know I love this and you know why! I can't wait until I've finished hunting and gathering for my big "Pumpkin reveal".

I'm actually in the process of making homemade chicken broth today for the pumpkin soup. So, it won't be as long as it has been.

Still haven't found the right salad plates yet. But, the hunt is part of the fun.

I agree with the others. We don't want you to stop. You've spoiled us with all of these pictures. You wouldn't want us to have withdrawals would you? They say that is painful. LOL

It's lovely, Jane! Those embroidered placemats are so pretty. They look like they'd sell for $15 each, at least. And those white leaf plates are exquisite in their detailing! I'm so envious of you having CTS nearby! Love your Big Lots salad plates, too. It's amazing that they were only $.50 each . . . gosh, they look great with your white pieces and I really like their border.
I'm still working on my own Thanksgiving/Autumn table. Thanks again for sending me the wonderful pinecone napkin rings!!!! They're definitely part of the table. I used them last night and DH & DD really liked them. Me too! I'll take pics soon.

Jane--the first thing that caught my eye was that nice big ACORN! And then you even gave me a closeup to drool over! LOL

My DH is worried, first I had an obsession with pig items and he and DS had to live with all of them around for years, then I cleared out most all of the pigs and got obsessed with bunnies--they have multiplied and I have too many now--then the rose plates and other rose items were next and that obsession continues to expand. Suddenly he's seeing acorn items and is getting nervous! LOL

You placemats go perfectly with your dishes and echo the color of the leaves in your centerpiece too. The little leaf dishes look so delicate and pretty. Do you wrap them to store them? I can really see how practical as well as beautiful the white dishes are--they worked great for your Fall tables and will work equally as well for Christmas and other holidays.

I've enjoyed all your tables and can't wait to see what you come up with for Christmas.

I have loved everyone one of your table settings - can never see too many. I have my sister and her husband moved in with me temporarily since they moved down from PA so I have not been able to do all I wanted to for fall decor. There are boxes everywhere so I am living vicariously through all your postings and pictures. They are in the process of buying a house but the paperwork seems to take forever. Hopefully they will be moved by the first week in Dec which is good for her and me as we both love to decorate to the hilt for Christmas.

Betty..thank you. That pumpkin soup sounds like it's going to be yummy. I know what you mean about 'the hunt' is part of the fun, in finding the right pieces to go with your dishes. I'm so glad you're enjoying them and making all sorts of great plans for them too. We'll be waiting.

Lynn...glad you're enjoying your napkin rings. I'm looking forward to seeing them. Now, it will be MY turn to sit back and enjoy everyone's Fall tables. That will be fun for me.

Lynne..thank you. I'm hoping for you too, that you will have those boxes out and you can enjoy decorating for yourself. How generous of you to do that for your sister and her husband. I'm sure she's very greatful. Also how nice to have her nearby now to enjoy each other's homes.

How funny with your DH and your 'new acorn collection'.
It could be worse..like fur coats or cars!! lol
It's funny how we go through these 'phases'...
I too went through collecting Roosters/Cows/Teddy Bears/Santas and
Still - Blue & White. What they have to put up with from us while we're going through these frienzies!! hehe

As for the acorn dishes..I just store them on the lower shelf in my china cabinet. It's easier that way, because they are so delicate.
You're right about the white dishes...as I mentioned to someone else here, you can mix and match them with so many different accessories..and they always look different.
