I have W 7 and WLM and I direct my server's email through WLM and I don't have any idea why yours does that, mine doesn't. I don't have an account with live, I don't like to join everything, especially social medias. You might try opening your email and the contacts listed there and try to add a contact and see if the same thing happens to it.

I did get my gmail account to work in WLM, but not the way I had hoped. What I finally did was activate the 2 step verification, and chose my Windows computer as the "app" to be used. Gmail send me a verification code, and then a 16 digit password, with a space after each 4 digits, to use when asked by WLM for my password. After entering the 16 digit password, all my mail for the past six days downloaded in WLM. Instructions were that I would never need to enter this password again, but I did write it down in my little password book, just in case. What I find puzzling is that I have used WLM 12 for almost three years with the same three gmail accounts, all of which worked in the mail program. It was only on Sept. 27 that my default account stopped working and asked repeatedly for my password. At that point I had NOT done the 2 step verification, so this is very infuriating, Google! I was forced into the 2 step verification process to get gmail to recognize my computer as an approved "app".

Once your email address gets into the hands of those engaged in sending large volumes of garbage emails as you describe, trying to deal with them on the receiving end is a losing battle. I don't know what kind of organization is stupid enough to allow public access to an email list but that sounds like part of the problem. But it may not be the only source. I would abandon your current address and use two new ones - one for that organization only and a second address for everything else you do including personal financial stuff. You can let those you correspond with for business and personal reasons know what your new address is, it's no big deal for anyone to do a one-time address change in their own contact books. And maybe a third, if needed for websites that insist on having one as part of a user account. Like this website, as an example. Try Gmail, I think its spam filtering functions are much better than others. It's always better to have non-ISP email addresses anyway, you may change service providers through the years, it shouldn't require you to change the email address others use to reach you.

I did a search and couldn't find an answer so I usually come here to ask for help. I get a box when I shut down the mail....."You have unsent messages in your Outbox"....NO I DON"T!! Also, every time I turn on my mail and then later when I turn it off I get this box....."Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review....etc." This box started when I sent an email that was returned because it didn't have the right address. How do I get rid of these two boxes? Thanks!!!!!
