I think the Thernmador columns we late the Miele for sure are late. I was told first quarter still no in the main stream at all. So I would say the top end models are likely delayed. I think the expectations are high for these to end models so nobody wants to have a flop. No one will remember being late but everyone will remember poor execution/quality.

Generally true, except for the person who is waiting on the new model. But, yes, they're not going to hear those complaints for years, whereas they will if there are reliability problems.

All I can say is to anyone thinking of waiting for a new model to complete a renovation--don't. Plan to use what's available currently, or be prepared for delays/disappointment. (I'm personally glad we didn't hold out for a Liebherr or the new SZ models . . . )

Well I guess I'm a little different duck. I have a fridge that will easily fit in the 48 in hole. We have designed and built the opening to fit the new sub. We will have to wait for 4-5 months( I doubt they will delay into 2009) Once I get the fridge I will have it for 20 years. So I can wait. I do the same thing with cars I do not want old technology when I know new is around the corner.

You can argue old reliabile is better than new unknown. Most new designs at the high end are meant to fix old problems and improve the product.

We've planned for the new SZ also. Latest deivery time that I have heard is Nov.-Dec. Will be living with existing, non-matching fridge until then....

What size and style are you planning on? Where did you here the Nov/Dec?

canuck -- we are planning to get the 48" SxS with dispenser. I got that "likely date of delivery" from my appliance place. Will be getting an update on that soon and will post what I hear. How about you?

I asked last month and the date was September. So if it is Nov/Dec, it is already delayed once more...

I have heard Sept but the notice on the Sub web page says Fall so Fall starts about Sept 21 and it's Sept....

The showroom in Detroit area has a 36 model on display. Have not gone to look due to kitchen cabs are a week or 2 from install.

I have read a few comments from people about having the new ZUB BI a 36 and very recently a 48SS.

I called Sub today and got a comment ordering can start Sept 5 and the Memo was dated early Aug. (USA Subzero)

So they should be able to be ordered now of very very soon.

I called Canadian rep and they indicated they are starting to arrive into the country. Called one dealer and they showed model numbers on they inventory list. It would appear Sept/Oct is doable unles there is a mad rush and back orders.....
