Calling all dish divas...help, please!

I saw some dinnerware on a blog today, and I've just *got* to have it. I've done all kinds of Internet searches, but didn't come up with anything like this. Does anyone have a clue who might make this? Scroll down the blog until you see the tablescape with the coral and shell dinnerware.

Did you think of writing her and asking?
I'm sure she'd share that info with you.
I think that would an easier solution to finding out about them.

I made Vegetarian Chili for the Main Street fundraiser chili supper. Quite a few non-vegetarians asked for the recipe. I could not find all the ingredients at the local market and made some substitutions. Forgot the mushrooms. Didn't do the Essence. Vegetarian Chili Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse, 2003 Prep Time:25 minInactive Prep Time:--Cook Time:30 minLevel:EasyServes:6 to 8 servings Ingredients 2 tablespoons canola oil 1 1/2 cups chopped yellow onions 1 cup chopped red bell peppers 2 tablespoons minced garlic 2 to 3 serrano peppers, stemmed, seeded, and minced, depending upon taste 1 medium zucchini, stem ends trimmed and cut into small dice 2 cups fresh corn kernels (about 3 ears) 1 1/2 pounds portobello mushrooms (about 5 large), stemmed, wiped clean and cubed 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespooon ground cumin 1 1/4 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon cayenne 4 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped 3 cups cooked black beans, or canned beans, rinsed and drained 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce 1 cup vegetable stock, or water 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves Cooked brown rice, accompaniment Sour cream or strained plain yogurt, garnish Diced avocado, garnish Essence, recipe follows, garnish Chopped green onions, garnish Directions In a large, heavy pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions, bell peppers, garlic, and serrano peppers, and cook, stirring, until soft, about 3 minutes. Add the zucchini, corn, and mushrooms, and cook, stirring, until soft and the vegetables give off their liquid and start to brown around the edges, about 6 minutes. Add the chili powder, cumin, salt and cayenne, and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes and stir well. Add the beans, tomato sauce, and vegetable stock, stir well, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the cilantro. Adjust the seasoning, to taste. To serve, place 1/4 cup of brown rice in the bottom of each bowl. Ladle the chili into the bowls over the rice. Top each serving with a dollop of sour cream and spoonful of avocado. Sprinkle with Essence and green onions and serve. Emeril's ESSENCE Creole Seasoning (also referred to as Bayou Blast): 2 1/2 tablespoons paprika 2 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons garlic powder 1 tablespoon black pepper 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon dried thyme Combine all ingredients thoroughly. I don't have a strainer...I guess you mean dish rack? Not sure what you are referring to. I have a single bowl 30" x 24 ". I just wash the dishes in a larger bowl or pot from whatever I cooked and remove them to a drying pad. Hope this gives you another option.c

a lot of dishwashers are handle-less. It seems it would be fine to the left of sink. there will be stuff on island and peninsula so the peninsula location at[pivot and step] from sink seems it would be fine-even better in a way.rinsing of dishes is not de rigeur anymore.I don't know-I just get a funny feeling about the plan-switching range and fridge would help. I think it's something about the "center of gravity"-I'm not feeling it-there are several sections here but in the end, the "center" ends up the floorspace in the middle,oddly. Here's something-what if you had a long elongated U coming off the window wall---the sides would extend less than the peninsula..then do an island running left to right with stools across back. It's more straightforward and "center stage" which to me your space is asking for. I guess the island off to the left seems marginalized to me....for your lg space you get 3 seats? not good use in my opinion. You could have 10-12 feet of island running left to right, along with ends, so calculate seating potential with that. Also-at the left side of a U, coming from piano plaza, you could do the structure necessary to back up your fridge/ panel and finish off end and back so the fridge is situated on that arm of U-facing in. then place bench or deacon's bench on the back of this wall or whatever you construct. This carries theme of bench at front hall.[I like benches] This would be nice in that mini area. Maybe if you just pause,walk through and look at your existing space and ideas on paper as they have evolved and go back to your goals. You'll get something great here.

I do not know the name of the pattern (been sort of out of it for a while when it comes to buying new dishes) but
just in case no one here knows the pattern name, you might want to try to email the photo to www.replacements.com (they sell thousands of china/dishes/silverware etc. on their website) they will research it to see if they sell it on their site, if the dish pattern is not sold in stores any more, then you can purchase it from them, if it is a pattern that is still sold in stores, well you will have the name of the dishes and can purchase at the stores. Either way, I have ordered from Replacements.com and was very pleased with them, they package their items very securely.

Can you also do a search on Replacements.com with the key word, "Turkey"?

Yes, click on the link below, I put 'turkey' in the search box and the link below is what came up. You could also be more specific in the search words. For example if you were searching for a 'ceramic turkey', if they have it, it will most likely come up. But as I mentioned before, the people are very friendly, I actually called them and discussed what I was looking for and asked questions about quality etc, they were great!

I did email the blog author, but I know that a lot of times email from an unknown user can go straight to the spam folder. I will let everyone know if I do find out who makes it. Judith, that's a good idea about emailing a picture of it to Replacements.com.

The design is sea shells and coral, right Tammy? I checked replacements, Fitz and Floyd(although it could be a pattern that's several years old), Mikasa, Horchow and Neiman Marcus sites, and zip, zero, zilch. Checked on ebay too~nadda.

The picture could be several years old, making the pattern almost impossible to find. Could be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but let's not be negative. ;o)

Pattycakes, thanks for checking those sites. I was thinking the plates looked like something that might come from Nieman Marcus, but I was having trouble with their site.

And, Judith, I'm glad to see you back also. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the one that lives right across the water from you, in Virginia Beach. I did your stacked fall plates this year.

Thank you, I'll try to pop in now and then as time permits, I have missed all the fun things that everyone posts. Yes, I remember you, didn't you buy the really large ceramic rabbit like mine? He will be figuring into my Christmas decor this year. I hope you have had fun using your bunny too.

I checked the Nieman Marcus site, did not see your dishes there, I also checked Horchow, but no luck there either.

On that blog, I thought the gal said that was a photo she found of those dishes, so she may not have the information either. Hope she does for you tho.

Judith, its wonderful you could come back. I'm sorry to hear time restraints are a problem, we sure miss you as a regular. And your fantastic decorating, and advice, and everything!!

Judith, you're right; I did buy the large white bunny like yours. He usually watches over my dining room from the buffet, but he's displaced right now to make room for the stacked plates :)
