Dreamgoddess, per your request, here's the other sled that I did last night and some other things that I thought you guys might like to see.

On this sled, I didn't add as much to it since the greenery itself was so pretty. The greenery is actually a candle swag/holder that I found at HL for 50% off. I just sort of squeezed the hole together just a bit and then wired it onto the sled. Once you add your bow, it fills in the hole.

Siam I wish I was a bird. Those mangoes look delicious. Is the plant in the 4th pic a Bromiliad? Daughter in Florida started to collect them. My gosh she is buying some exotic plants every Weekend lately. I can not wait to go that Farmers Market myself :-)) Yesterday she bought the most beautiful Orchid! I think depending on the fabric, I will charge any where from $10.00 to $15.00. also depends on if I can get the lavender buds also. I am making some for some of our local shops and also some for family xmas gifts and also giving each of the girls in the office one for Christmas.. I think sometimes our office girls are forgotten how hard they work for us.. I am sending Leveta some for her shop along with some potato bags and rice bags. Thanks, I am excited about how it looks since I was so nervous it would be too much that I almost had them install it as an accent behind the bar area which meant it would have to be made into a long pattern. I really wanted my island slab in Before I decided about putting it behind my cooktop. 'twas not to be with the crazy timing of my workers; so I took a deep breath and said ,"go for it"! I'm now basically wiped out with all the decisions. I am really on my own with all of these decisions since my DH has abdicated any responsibility ( except for the all important money aspect). He gave me a good budget if it only covered the kitchen but somehow it needs to cover a face lift of most of the house, including ALL of the flooring. I hired a KD for 5 hours as a sounding board for my vision of my kitchen. she gave me a few sketches with no dimensions. Beyond that, she's been available by text.... Hoping we'll be finished with the kitchen next week. My DH has been awesome and uncomplaining throughout. I guess I am one lucky girl. It's been sort of a dream to finally try out all of these ideas floating around in my head for the past 12 years in a kitchen I never liked. Hope it turns out . A fun adventure that I am so enjoying sharing and learning from all the GWers here. Thanks! . Heres Another shot. The mullions above will have antiqued mirrors.... No wonder I have been afraid to post photos. There's a lot of "clowns in my kitchen" And i hate clowns! But I love beautiful things that appeal to my eye.

Dawn - how very pretty - your work is exquisite. I sold 3 sleds at a garage sale when we moved from Delaware to NC and now I wish I had my late husbands Radio Flyer one to decorate......

Gorgeous decorating! I especially like the wreath with ice skates.... so cute!

I have an old sled I bought from an antique store last fall. I put it in the garage for Christmas decorating, and my kids found it and were trying to use it out in our front yard in the snow.... AAAAAAYYYYY! :op So funny.

My good friends invited me over and we had a wreath making party. Such fun! I made a wreath for our door (was that ever fun.... only my 2nd time!). Then my friend helped me make a swag type greenery/dried oranges/red berries/blue juniper berries and big red bow (my sled is red!). I added tiny white lights when I got home. It was so cute, I ended up keeping it in my entryway. Originally it was for the front porch, but I wanted to see it when I walked by the entry, and outside just wasn't cutting it. :o) LOL!

Anyway, your sled reminded me of my sled. Wish I had it out here at our new build. Well, next year!! :o)

Wonderful eye-candy. And I love the black n white curtains and that BIG BUNNY I spied. WOW.

totallyblessed, that wreath making party sounds like a lot of fun. I've made myself some wreaths, but still haven't learned to do the wonderful bows.

also a gal on eBay last holiday season, was buying old ice skates and then painting a Xmas scene on them. They were so cute decorated up like that.

Dawn, thanks for posting more pics for us to enjoy. All your things are lovely, but my fav is the wreath with the Santa clothes on it--those are so cute!

I too spotted the bunny (love bunnies), how about a better pic of him when you get a chance?

Thanks everyone! This sled and another small one I got at a garage sale this summer for $1 each!!! I grabbed them up quick & worried all the way home about what DH was going to say...

My Aunt found the ice skates for me at a flea market. This pr is a child's pr and they seemed to work better since they were smaller.

Totallyblessed, that's too funny about your kids trying out the 'ole sled & the wreath party sounds really fun.

Luvs, No, I can't take credit for the bunnies. I found them at a craft fair and fell in love with them, but I don't think that they were handcrafted. That particular booth always had alot of things that they bought and resold.

Really creative decorations and so inspiring! I spied the bunny, too - so sweet. : ) Love your window treatment. It looks great with your wall color.

No, I didn't make the window treatments. I found them on Ebay after quite a long search of just the right ones. If I remember correctly, I got them for under $15 each. I just recently re-did my kitchen and I chose to go with the black & white toile with apple green walls.

Dawn, thank you for posting these photos. I loved looking at them! I really like the ice skates in the window and the hanging snowflakes are so cute. I'd love to be able to do something like this, unfortunately we never see ice skates here in Alabama. lol

Love the sled! It would be hard to choose which was my favorite.

Dream, WHERE in Alabama? I was born in Florence, and my parents too. I've lived in Phoenix 45 yrs now, but have many fond "Ala. memories" with my grandparents and other relatives.
