American standard has a Cadet 3 model that is 26 1/4 wall to front.

The minimum dimension of the rough in seems to be closer to the wall. I don't know if that will be helpful in your situation. I know nothing about plumbing.

I have the Cadet 3 Compact ONE PIECE toilet, and it works GREAT. And it is extremely compact, fitting as it does into the smallest little bathroom EVER.

Other than being small, it performs extremely well, and never fails to flush first time only once. The flush uses 1.24 gallons. I bought it at Lowes. We will be redoing two bathrooms in another house before we sell, and creating a new bath as well, and we will buy THREE MORE of these because they work so well...reasonably priced....as well as take less space.

Moccasin - I'm so impressed you fit a bathroom in that space! I really like the one-piece look of that toilet too. I'll put it on my list.

Generally toilets are sold by what is called rough. Basically it the distance from the wall to center line of the drain. There is also a round front and an elongated bowl. More than likely you have a 12" rough. You could go to a 10" rough but
that involves moving your drain pipe back 2", not a small task.Stick w a 12" and a round bowl.There are a lot of makers , check as many as you can to find what you need.
There also toilets that have there tanks hidden in the wall and lastly a direct flush (commercial type), but these, I believe need a 1" supply.
Your current toilets can be dated very easily. Take the tank cover off and there should be a date of manufacture stamped on the bottom of the lid.

Jonny - thank you for the reply. I had no idea there would be a date on the bottom of the lid. I'll have to check that when I get home.

It does have a 12-inch rough if my measurement is correct, so that will make things easier. Even some of the round front models I've looked at are a couple of inches longer than the current one - I suppose modern bathrooms are likely much roomier than mine :)
