Opinions sought-freezes up.

I am having an especially annoying problem while Googling and moving back and forth between various sites. Sometimes I move pretty freely, but far too often when I attempt to open a new page or move forward or backward, the screen freezes and my only way out is control-alt-delete. When I have to do this I also lose access to the original site and I have to start all over again. I do a lot of comparison shopping so I cleaned cookies, temp files, history etc. I still have the problem. Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated.

Lets try and rule out malware follow the instructions below:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Click here
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
Â Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
Â If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Â Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
Â The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
Â When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Â Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
Â When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
Â The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Â Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediately.

Well as this seems a momentary thing rather than total freeze of the computer perhaps it is not heat related. Still might pay to remove the left side and look at the the fan and heatsink to see if there are cluttered with dust bunnies.

Take a look at your Event viewer for clues next time it happens. Click Start/Control panel/Administrative Tools/Event viewer. Click on System on the left side then look for error messages on the right side. Anything of interest there?

I think you could do it, but it will depend on the size of the mirror and sconces. If the sconces are too large, then the mirror has to be too narrow to look right. Here is a 36" vanity, according to the answers to questions on Houzz...looks like it could be if you count the subway tiles (assuming they are 6") on the backsplash. Kswl - Our kids did Irish dance but their instructor always made a point of differentiating the spelling between ceilidh and ceili. He said that Ceildhi is Scottish Gaelic while Ceili is Irish Gaelic. They both have the same pronunciation and meaning. I wonder if it might be a regional thing - we're just outside Philadelphia. We recently attended a small Feis to watch my niece and afterwards we thoroughly enjoyed the evening ceili - as the Irish would say it was great craic. And speaking of bagpipes - DD went to Columbia and one year I happened to take a day trip into the city to spend the afternoon with her and attend a Broadway matinee. How thrilling to find out that I had stumbled onto the Tartan Day Parade. That was in 2002 and Sean Connery was the Grand Marshall. This year's parade is on Saturday, April 11 and Graham McTavish (Outlander) has the honor. I'd love to go for the parade again. There's something about pipes and drums that stirs my soul. DS married a lass who was Scottish and all her relatives came to the wedding in their Prince Charlie jackets and Crawford tartans. Unfortunately the bagpiper who was to pipe the wedding party into the reception canceled at the last minute. The string quartet was lovely but nearly as exciting. It sounds like you have thought of everything. I hope your party is a huge success and that the weather cooperates too. Have you watched the documentary "Jig" - about the Irish Dancing World Championship?

I wouldn't change it since it's so minor. As jannicone said, there's danger of something not minor happening as a result of redoing it. My Corian countertop has a similar junction, but was done differently. The counter top bullnose was not taken to the wall but changed into a straight face to meet up with the back splash and wall. For that matter, the rounded edge of the back splash was squared up to meet the counter top. But even with this, the back splash hangs over the edge very slightly.

You may also want to run your task manager and see what is causing the high utilization of your system resources. If you are running an antivirus, which I hope you are, check to see if that executable is taking up resources when you browse the web. It may be running a scan on everything you open.

Curious as to what Operating system you are running and how much memory does your machine currently have. You supplied nothing in the way of info of your machine or the browser you are using. The people on here a good at helping others only if they have some info to work with. Not many have taken a mind reading course
