I donÂt know, maybe itÂs just me, but I tend to think that the happiest people are those who die without regrets. And especially this is so if the decisions they regret are ones they could have easily reversed, had they simply the courage to go in another direction. Had I but room enough and time, the tub I would install in a heartbeat in our own home is one I wrote about some time ago in a blog I titled Somewhere, because for me it really is somewhere in a distant land IÂm destined to never visit. ItÂs too long to print out here, but thereÂs a link to it at the bottom of this if youÂre interested. But I do believe that if I had the room for it in our homeÂand the necessary money for the purchase, this is an indoor pool/tub that I would install in a heartbeat. What I most want in a bathroom is a place that is luxurious, that is comfortable, that is a retreat from the world. And to the extent that it is possible, I mean to achieve it for us. That said, though, ours areÂand will remainÂfive by nine cracker boxes that simply do not permit something as luxurious as a sunken tub. Reverse of how it went in: shut off water; remove taps, faucet, drain cover, caulking and any tile, screws in flanges etc. trapping the tub in position. I take it the shower'll have to do.

that sunken tub thing makes me laugh. In our current home we bought in 1990 the sales listing had noted a sunken tub as a selling feature well we both had a good laugh when we walked in the master bath and see a regular tub that they had simply dropped down into the floor a strange looking animal no doubt. The tile work in the bath is so nice I simply have not been able to force myself to tear it out and we are still fairly young but at some point stepping down into this thing will start to be dangerous then the real nice tile work will be removed and a full access shower will be a welcome change. Hello everyone, I'm remodeling a sunken shower here in Florida. The house is on a concrete slab, and the shower is sunken into the slab. The dimensions are 70" L x 35" W x 10" D (17 SQ FT).
