Was this problem like this when you purchased it or did it just occur?

you do not want to use the zoom feature you want o go into your browser and change the font type and size to your liking. If you use firefox it is in tools> options under the content tab you can choose your font type and set the size for larger like 16 or 18.

if you find you have problems on the computer itself with things being too small there like on the desktop or when opening your files that would be a different setting, changing the dpi to a larger number might help you out.

If you use IE some one will be able to tell you where to change your font and size I no longer use it and am on my linux machine so can not look. I think it is tools internet options but not sure the tab.

My favorite game site is still opening with very small windows, though. I'll continue to search to see what is going on with this game site. It's not affecting all game sites, so it may be the site itself. May be a clue that I'm too old to be playing games, huh?

well still don't know what browser we are dealing with here, what you need to do is change your default font size in the browser so that you have the font size you want on all pages that open and save that once set. I can not tell you how with out knowing which browser.

Now opening in a small window is a totally different issue has nothing to do with the font and text sizes. Do you have 2 different issues happening?

It might also help to know, exactly what game site and game you are referring to. Are you using Internet Explorer or Firefox?????

Sorry, I use IE8. I went into -options-general-accessibility-ignore font sizes. I did not see an option to change font size.

To be a little clearer, when I say small game window - the window, the text and the game board is smaller that normal. I'm getting small game windows and on Pogo and on freeonlinemahjonggames.net/fruit-mahjong.

I can play with full-sized windows on my son's computer.

How to Change Font Size in Internet Explorer

In general these options should be in IE8
In Internet Explorer 8 go to the View menu (if it's displayed) then pick Text size, select larger or largest. It should change to size of text, etc. within your browser.

Check the system font setting:

Settings--> Control Panel--> Display--> Appearance. The system font size setting is near the bottom.

I would suggest you download firefox browser and give it a try, you should have at least 2 browsers on your pc anyway for safety sake should IE fail to work. In firefox it is extremely easy to change your font type and size as I stated earlier.

Wondering if someone might have gotten into the screen resolutions and increased it making things smaller.

The web pages are looking pretty good on IE. I occasionally have one where some of the text is overlapping other text. I checked the screen resolution and it are fine. It's a new computer and there's been no one here but me, so it is in its 'out of the box' state.

I have also downloaded Firefox. I went in and changed the text size to 18 and it makes webpages much easier to read.
After lots and lots of reading about my game sites, it seems that this may be a problem related to the site itself.
