Copying Program to New Computer

I have a computer program (not just a file) on a floppy disk that I installed and used on my Sony notebook (ME software). On that notebook I also have a DVD-ROM and a USB port.

I now have a new Gateway (Media Center Edition) but it has no floppy drive; it has USB ports, an optical DVD Read\Write multi-layer drive, and a 9-in-1 memory card reader. IÂve tried to DISKCOPY the program on the original floppy to a 128 mg JumpDrive but that wonÂt work; after some research, I think itÂs because the two "disks" are different sizes. The JumpDrive is "empty" so IÂm not worried about losing data already on it.

Is there some way I can get the floppy program to the new Gateway. The floppy I have is the original from the manufacturer/programmer and I legitimately purchased it (some years ago, however). I am not trying to pirate a copy of someone elseÂs purchase.

Thanks for any info you can provide - June
