Do you know if you have the common chickweed or the mouse ear chickweed? The common chickweed is considered a winter annual and the mouse ear(Very hairy leaves) is considered a perennial, but I have heard it can act as a winter annual in Oklahoma sometimes. But, being a perennial may explain why it still came up even though you put a pre emergent down. It may have stopped more seeds from germinating though. It seems like I have seen the weed germinate in early spring, die out in the summer, and then germinate again in the fall and then be winter killed or stay green through the winter. About the time you were re-seeding should have been the time to be putting down the Barricade, but we know you cannot do that and re-seed at the same time. Oct-Nov is about the time chickweed germinates. I would try a test patch as philes and morph mention above and you could put down some more Barricade as long as your TTTF is established. If there are any more seeds, it will keep them from germinating. It may also keep crabgrass from germinating early next spring.

You don't. If the issue is the root stock has taken over and the budded variety you wanted and obtained to plant has died out, then you are left with a once-flowering climber. If you want it to flower the best possible, then you train it as you would any climber, bending the canes down to closer to the horizontal so it produces lateral growth along the canes which will then flower. If you don't want a climber or haven't the room for it, then you simply whack the heck out of it down to about the size you want, then it will flower NEXT year on the remaining growth. Or, wait for it to flower, then whack the devil out of it. Either way, you likely have a once-flowering climber and eventually you're either going to have to treat it like one, keep whacking it down to keep it a small plant or replace it with a new plant. These are Dr. Huey, the likely rose you have and are dealing with. Notice the tall growth above the one plant? All the others would have those, too, had they not been cut off. But, they WILL appear...sooner or later.

Try blowing on the laser hole on the bottom - sometimes dust wads can accumulate and make the mouse act odd. Or, if it's wireless, replace the batteries. If these steps don't work, a new mouse is cheap - less than $10 for a PC (non-Apple) type. It's not worth your time to wonder and flounder with it.

I did this a year or 2 ago w/ a large Spath that was brought in to my Indoor Gardening Group when I said I'd demonstrate dividing & repotting overgrown plants (I meant Sansevierias which I was speaking on, but the person brought a very potbound Spath). I took it home, split it up after buying some Reptibark to add to my mix & they did fine. Couple months later one of them bloomed for me. They continue fine, tho' I do get some brown edges from time to time. I'd vote for dividing not potting larger. It looks nice & healthy.
