give us the make and model number of your wireless router and we can likely help you do it pretty easily, most of them it is a very simple task, just enter the address for the router set up in your browser go to the correct tab in the router for security and select WPA2 as the security you want to enable then you will definitely have to choose a name for the SSID because you want to change that and this is what everyone will see as your network name so you do not want to use your name or something that will let them know oh I see that is lpinkmountains network, you want to name it something random, you will also have to set a password or key so that anyone wanting to get on your wireless network will have to enter that key into the blank before they are allowed on, This is the key that must be made up of random letters and numbers most of the time it will generate one for you and you can accept that one but what I advise to people is to WRITE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY and tape it to the bottom of the router! You should also definitely change the standard password for gaining entrance into the router it self so that only you have that password to be able to get in and change settings, you can add that to the one on the bottom of the router. Most routers do have the internal firewall enabled by default that is something you will want to check since you will be in the router settings it needs to be on. This is not the same as your software firewall you will find the software firewall in your windows security center. you should not need the software or cd for the router to do this. just give us the info on your router and someone will help you.

I bought 2 new HP/PC's one big desktop, got a great deal at Office Depot, and it's a new quad core, 6MB RAM, and can be taken up to 16 MB RAM, came with a beautiful 21.5" LCD HD monitor, the price was great, also new 17" HP laptop, 4 GB RAM awesome resolution on screen, at Walmart it's the latest from HP also.. first thing I do is get rid of all trial offers installed like Norton,Office etc. then load AVG2011 and malewarebytes, windows firewall is installed of course, and defender comes in W7, which many people do not know about, and it's great..(both pc have huge HD's too)

I use Avast on all of my windows machines now and really like it, I set it up to do scans when the screen saver comes on so any time it is idle it is scanning and not having to wait for a specific time which I prefer. Plus it is an active scanner so it is always scanning as you use the pc. I am behind a firewalled router at home but do prefer to have a software firewall also, I like to use an old version of zone alarm pro, it is very light weight and has always worked well for me, if you want to buy a suite the one you mentioned is a good choice, Nod 32 is also a good choice for purchase. I prefer to have separate programs rather than a suite but that is a personal preference. I suggest you look over the installers hall of shame prior to selecting a firewall and see how they are rated and what they try to add to your system other than just what you want. Installers Hall of Shame (Unwanted add-on) gizmo's site is a good place to read up on good choices. I no longer recommend Comodo and many of the security forums no longer recommend them either due to some items they add on and some questionable practices.
