if not then, when? it is good idea to run a scan periodically. When it runs on my start up, usually just as I'm looking to read incoming email, things run a little slow, but it last only a few minutes, and I can keep working. Well after all that preaching, I decided to look up how, and I couldn't find it either. Good luck, let us know... someone my respond with the answer.

right click on the avg icon in the systray. Click launch control center. At the bottom of the dialog box click on scheduled tasts. click on test plan in basic mode to highlight it then click on edit schedule. Pick a time when you want the test to run or a time when the computer won't be on and then remove the check in the if missed, start immediately on startup box and you can run the test when and if you feel like.

Right click the AVG icon in system tray near the clock, select Launch Control Center, hilite scheduler, at the bottom a tab says "Scheduled Tasks" hilite "Test plan in basic mode" then the "Edit Schedule" tab and set it to what ever time you like.
