Take the battery out first, I spray Windex on mine, a light mist. Wipe with paper towel, then put it up side down and let it dry. Second application could be necessary.

People do put it in the dishwasher, you need to take it apart.

I wouldn't advise putting it in the dishwasher. How'd you like to have melted plastic from a $30 device in your $750 dishwasher?

The windex idea sounds reasonable, nothing to lose to give it a try. Failing that, toss it and buy another, they're cheap.

Or, if you drink good wine and offer me some, I might stop by to see what I could do. The only result I can guarantee is that the wine glass will be empty before I leave.

Had it been good wine, the bad news would have been the waste of a good glass of wine, not where it landed. With crappy wine, it's the other way around.

Could have been worse. The wine could have still been in the bottle when it hit the keyboard.

Try to spray it holding it upside down.

I have washed a keyboard (not a wifi) in the sink before with a little dish washing liquid and a soft paint brush, the art is in making sure it is thoroughly dry.

I did it because I do not like the black keyboards and only had one buff coloured at the time. Have visited the local charity shop since and bought 3 more at $1 each.

Just thought of something. Readers should be reminded we are talking about a free standing keyboard. Not a keyboard on a laptop. I could just see.....
